Description
The Stanley FatMax BladeArmor 8m Tape Measure (model 33-732) is a tough, wide-blade tape built for tradies and home DIYers who want a measuring tool that holds up to daily knocks. The 32mm blade stays rigid over a long reach, so one person can measure across a room or up a wall without the tape folding.
About the product
The first section of the blade carries Stanley's BladeArmor coating, a patented thermoplastic layer designed to resist wear and reduce blade breakage where tapes usually fail first. The rest of the blade has a Mylar polyester coating to help the markings last. A metric-only scale with clear graphics makes readings quick, and the printed markings on the blade are easy to pick out at a glance.
Where to use it
Indoors: framing, cabinetry, flooring, shelving, wall fit-outs and general renovation measuring.
Outdoors: decking, fencing, landscaping and other site work, where its hard-wearing blade and impact-resistant case come in handy.

How to use it
Hook the end over the edge of the material and pull the blade out to the length you need. Slide the lock to hold the blade in position while you read the measurement or mark up. For inside measurements, press the end against the opposite surface and add the case dimension marked on the body. To retract, release the lock and guide the blade back by hand so it does not whip into the case.
Important notes
This is a metric-only tape. Letting the blade snap back at speed can wear the hook and bend the blade, so control the return. Avoid kinking or bending the blade sharply, and keep the blade clean of grit and debris for the longest life.

Care and storage
Wipe the blade clean with a dry cloth after use, especially after working in dusty, wet or muddy conditions. Retract the blade fully and store the tape in a dry spot or clipped to your belt. Avoid dropping it from height or leaving it exposed to moisture for long periods, and keep the blade edge away from fingers when retracting.
