Sutton Tools TCT Multi-Purpose Plumber Holesaw Set 19-111mm (12 Piece)

Description

The Sutton Tools TCT Multi-Purpose Plumber Holesaw Set is a 12 piece kit built around tungsten carbide tipped holesaws, covering the sizes plumbers and installers reach for most, from 19mm up to 111mm. It suits trade and DIY work, and it saves you swapping between separate saws for timber, sheet materials, plastics and tiles.

About the product
Each holesaw has tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) teeth, designed for strong cutting performance and long wear with minimal heat build-up. Sutton Tools states that these teeth cut timber up to five times faster than conventional bi-metal holesaws. The saws cut to a depth of up to 54mm, and deep cut-outs in the body help the core come free quickly. The set comes with a quick-release arbor, so you can change holesaw sizes fast and eject the core in about a second. Two pilot bits and a plastic storage case are included.

Where to use it
Indoors: pipe and fitting penetrations through timber framing, wall linings, cabinetry, benchtops and tiled walls or floors.
Outdoors: openings in fibre cement and cement sheet cladding, decking and timber structures for pipework and installations.

Suitable materials include timber, hardwood, softwood, MDF, plasterboard, compressed fibre cement sheet, cement sheet, plastics, ceramic tiles and other abrasive materials.

How to use it

  • Fit the holesaw to the quick-release arbor and secure the arbor in your drill chuck.
  • Use a pilot bit to start the hole accurately, and clamp or hold the workpiece firmly.
  • Cut with steady pressure and let the teeth do the work. Pull back occasionally to clear dust and swarf.
  • Use the quick-release action to eject the core, then swap to another size when needed.

Important notes
The cutting depth is up to 54mm, so deeper material needs to be cut from both sides. These holesaws are designed for the materials listed above. The set is not intended for cutting sheet metal or steel. Check that your drill suits the arbor and the size of saw you are using. Mid-size holesaws are listed as 51mm and 64mm in some Sutton Tools catalogue material and as 57mm and 70mm in other places, so check the pack when you receive it if you need a specific size.
