Description
The Syneco S Hook Ratchet Tie Down Set gives you four 25mm x 4.5m ratchet straps in one pack, ready to secure loads on a trailer, ute or roof rack. Each strap is rated for a 300kg lashing capacity and comes in a bright, high-visibility colour, so the straps are easy to spot and hard to leave behind.
About the product
These are polyester (terylene) webbing straps fitted with a ratchet tensioner and S hook ends. The ratchet lets you draw the strap tight and hold the tension, so loads stay put on the road. The set is made to meet Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4380. A four-pack means you can restrain several items, or run multiple straps over a single large load.
Where to use it
Indoors: tying down furniture, appliances and gear in a garage, shed or storage space before a move.
Outdoors: securing loads on trailers, utes, box trailers and roof racks, such as building materials, timber, tools, bikes, garden equipment and camping gear.
How to use it
- Hook the S hooks onto solid, load-rated anchor points on your vehicle or trailer.
- Thread the free end of the strap through the ratchet and pull out the slack by hand.
- Work the ratchet handle to tighten the strap until the load is firmly held, then close the handle down.
- Check the load is stable before you set off, and re-check the straps after the first few minutes of driving.
- To release, open the ratchet using its release mechanism, then unthread the strap.
Important notes
The 300kg figure is the lashing capacity of each strap, so always make sure your combined restraint suits the weight and shape of the load. Use only secure anchor points, and avoid running straps over sharp edges that could cut or fray the webbing. Pad corners where needed. Do not use damaged, frayed or worn straps or hardware. The pack is supplied in green or orange, and the colour may vary.

Care and storage
Inspect the straps and ratchets before each use, and retire any that show cuts, fraying or damage. Rinse off mud or grit and let the straps dry fully before storing them. Keep them rolled up in a cool, dry place away from direct sun, sharp edges and chemicals to help them last longer.
