Description
The Tactix Tough Case in Extra Large is a rugged, IP65 rated hard case for protecting tools, instruments, cameras and other valuable or fragile gear, finished in black. A sealed lid, strong latches and a customisable foam interior keep dust, splashes and knocks away from whatever you are carrying or storing.
About the product
The case is rated IP65, which means it is dustproof and protected against low pressure water jets, so it copes well with rain, spray and dusty worksites. It is not designed to be submerged. The shell is made from reinforced polypropylene, with a sealed lid and a carry handle built for regular use. An automatic pressure relief valve balances the air pressure inside and outside the case, so the lid still opens easily after moving between hot and cold environments or other pressure changes.
Where to use it
Indoors: workshop, garage or cupboard storage for power tool accessories, measuring gear, electronics, audio visual equipment and camera kits.
Outdoors: transporting and storing equipment in the ute, on the boat, on site or while camping, where weather and dust are a concern.

How to use it
Open the latches and lift the lid. Pluck out the pre-scored foam squares in the base to form a snug pocket for each item, then place your gear inside and close the lid so the seal sits evenly all the way around. Snap all latches shut firmly. Add a padlock through the provision if you want to secure the contents.
Important notes
IP65 protection covers dust and water jets only, not immersion in water. Once foam has been plucked out it cannot be put back, so lay out your items first and remove foam gradually. Keep the seal clean and free of grit so it continues to close properly. Weight limits are not stated by the manufacturer, so avoid overloading the case or using it as a step or seat.

Care and storage
Wipe the case clean with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, and dry the seal and foam before closing it for long-term storage. Store in a cool, dry place out of prolonged direct sun. Check that the lid seal is clean and undamaged before each use to keep the IP65 protection working.
