Description
Tarzan's Grip Super Strong Duct Tape is a black, hand-tearable cloth tape on a 5 metre roll, made for quick repairs, bundling and general fixing around the home, shed or worksite. It is built on a waterproof polyethylene-coated fabric, so it copes with damp conditions and works both inside and outside.
About the formula
A synthetic, rubber-based adhesive is coated onto a PE-coated fabric backing. It grabs quickly on contact and keeps a high level of adhesion over time. The fabric construction lets you tear off any length by hand, with no scissors or knife needed. The tape is water resistant and UV resistant, which makes it a practical choice for jobs that are exposed to the weather.
Where to use it
Indoors: temporary repairs, securing and bundling items, patching and holding parts in place around the house, garage or workshop.
Outdoors: fixes on exposed items where moisture and sunlight are a factor, such as gear, fittings and other items kept outside.
Suitable materials include concrete, wood, stone, metal and rubber, plus some plastics (test a small area on plastics first).
How to use it
Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and other contaminants. Tear the tape to the length you need, apply it, then press down firmly along its full length so it makes good contact with the surface.
Important notes
Not every plastic will hold the tape, so check compatibility first on a hidden spot. Rough, dusty or oily surfaces will reduce adhesion, so prepare them well. This is a general-purpose repair tape. It is not a replacement for a proper waterproofing or sealing product where a fully watertight seal is needed. The manufacturer has not published cure times or load ratings that we could confirm, so test the tape for your application before relying on it for anything critical.
