Description
Tuff Turf Synthetic Turf Double Sided Tape is a 50mm wide, 5 metre roll made for fixing synthetic turf and other temporary floor coverings in place. It gives a simple, no-mess alternative to liquid adhesive when you need to hold turf edges down on a hard surface.
About the formula
A double-sided adhesive tape on a cloth backing. The manufacturer describes it as having quality adhesive components that grip firmly to any clean surface. The cloth carrier makes it easy to handle and cut to length on site.
Where to use it
Indoors: holding down temporary floor coverings and synthetic turf mats on clean, hard floors.
Outdoors: securing the perimeter of synthetic turf laid over a hard surface such as a patio, balcony or paved area.
The manufacturer states the tape is suitable for any area and will stick to any clean surface. For best results, test a small section on porous, dusty or textured surfaces before committing to a full run.
How to use it
Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and loose debris. Measure the edge you want to fix, cut the tape to length, and lay it along the perimeter of the area. Press the turf or floor covering firmly down onto the tape along its full length so it makes good contact.
Important notes
This tape is intended for temporary floor coverings. Adhesion depends on the surface being properly cleaned first. The manufacturer has not published cure times, temperature limits or load ratings for this product, so do not rely on it for structural or permanent fixing.
