Description
The Uni-Pro Retractable Paint Scraper (TH46) is a compact, pocket-friendly scraper with a retractable blade, made for lifting flaky paint and trimming off silicone. The blade slides out when you need it and tucks away when you don't, which makes it a handy everyday tool for painters, renovators and DIYers.
About the product
This is a single-blade scraper with a moulded plastic body and a comfortable hand grip. The blade locks in place with a positive sliding action, so it stays put while you work and stays covered between jobs. The blade is made for tough scraping tasks and can be swapped out when it wears, so one scraper keeps going for a long time.
Where to use it
Indoors: knocking back flaking paint on walls, ceilings, trims and window frames before repainting, and cleaning up old silicone beads.
Outdoors: freeing loose paint from fascias, window frames, doors and other surfaces ahead of repainting.
How to use it
- Slide the blade out and lock it into position before you start.
- Hold the scraper at a low angle and push gently along the surface to lift loose paint or silicone.
- Retract the blade as soon as you finish, so it is covered when carried in a pocket or stored in a tool bag.
- Change the blade when it becomes dull. Uni-Pro lists a compatible replacement blade pack under product code FF14547, sold separately.
Important notes
Test on a small hidden area first when working on delicate or painted surfaces, as scraping can mark softer materials. Always cut or scrape away from your body and keep fingers clear of the blade path. Replacement blades are not included.
