Description
The Uni-Pro Skeleton Type Caulking Gun is a simple, sturdy metal applicator for laying neat beads of silicone and sealant when you are sealing gaps around the home or on the job. Its open skeleton frame and pistol-style grip keep it easy to hold and aim, which makes it a handy everyday gun for DIYers and tradies.
About the product
This is a skeleton-style caulking gun built from metal with a heavy duty construction. It has a comfortable pistol grip and a long trigger that gives a good range of movement. A squeeze of the handle pushes the sealant out in a steady bead.
Where to use it
Indoors: sealing gaps around baths, basins, sinks, benchtops, skirting boards and architraves with silicone or other sealant.
Outdoors: sealing gaps around windows, doors and other external joints with a suitable sealant.
How to use it
- Cut the tip of the sealant tube or cartridge to suit the bead size you want and pierce the inner seal.
- Load the tube into the frame and squeeze the trigger until the sealant starts to flow.
- Run the nozzle along the joint at a steady pace, then tool or smooth the bead as the sealant manufacturer directs.
- When you finish, release the pressure on the plunger and wipe away any excess sealant.
Important notes
Check that your sealant tube or cartridge fits the frame before you start. This gun does not have a stop-flow feature, so sealant may keep creeping out of the nozzle after you release the trigger. Always follow the sealant manufacturer's directions for surface preparation, tooling and curing.
