Description
The Uni-Pro 100mm Waterproofing Brush is a trade-quality brush built for putting down waterproofing membranes and other thick protective coatings, and it suits bathrooms, laundries and other wet areas. It pairs tapered synthetic filaments with a stainless steel ferrule and a solvent resistant handle, so it can cope with coatings that would wreck an ordinary paint brush.
About the brush
The tapered filaments are designed to hold up against harsh coatings, including acetone-based products. They are also shaped to pick up and release a good load of coating, which helps you get an even application. The head is a synthetic, solvent resistant filament. The ferrule is stainless steel for long life, and the handle is composite plastic. The 100mm head gives you good coverage on floors and walls.
Where to use it
Indoors: waterproofing bathroom floors and walls, laundries and other wet areas, including primer, membrane and reinforcing coat applications.
Outdoors: suitable for applying compatible coatings where the coating manufacturer approves exterior use.
Suitable for use with most waterproofing membranes, shellac based sealers, sealers and primers, bonding agents, bitumen coatings and liquid reinforcing coatings. Always check the coating manufacturer's data sheet to confirm the brush is appropriate for the product you are applying.
How to use it
Prepare the surface and mix the coating as directed by its manufacturer. Load the brush and work the coating into corners, edges and junctions, then lay it off evenly across the surface. Follow the coating manufacturer's instructions for coat thickness, number of coats and recoat times. Clean the brush straight after use with the clean up method recommended for the coating you applied.
Important notes
This is a brush only and does not include any coating, primer or reinforcing tape. Choose the cleaning method to suit the coating you used, and do not let coating cure in the filaments. A 75mm size is also available in the Uni-Pro range for tighter spots.
