Description
Velcro Brand Stick On Dots are a tidy, tool-free way to hang and hold lightweight items indoors, supplied here as a 40 pack of black 22mm adhesive-backed hook and loop dots. They give you a simple alternative to nails, screws, glue and tape for small jobs around the home, office, classroom or craft table.
About the product
Each dot is a preformed, round piece of nylon hook or loop with a peel-and-stick adhesive backing, so there is nothing to measure, cut or mix. The hook and loop halves grip together firmly and can be pulled apart again when you need to take the item down. The nylon construction is durable and made for everyday indoor use.
Where to use it
Indoors: hanging notices, message boards, signs, posters and lightweight artwork, parking remote controls and small tools, labelling and organising storage containers, and attaching items in craft, scrapbooking and school projects.
Outdoors: not recommended, as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and the elements can damage the fastener.
Best on smooth, clean, dry indoor surfaces such as timber, metal, glass, tiles, cardboard, painted walls and many plastics (test plastics first, as the dots may not grip every plastic).
How to use it
Make sure the surface is smooth, clean and dry. Peel the backing from a loop dot, position it and press down firmly to activate the adhesive. Repeat with a hook dot on the item you are mounting, then press the two together. Leave about 15 minutes before putting the dots to work.
Important notes
The adhesive reaches its maximum strength after about 24 hours. Application works best at room temperature, roughly 18 to 24°C. Test a small area first if you are unsure about the surface. Moving a dot after it has been stuck down weakens the adhesive and may mark the surface, so position carefully. Not recommended for fabrics, flexible vinyl, PVC, wallpaper, loose or flaking paint, porous surfaces, wet areas or underwater use. Intended for lightweight items only.
