White Knight Renew Grout Pen White 5ml

Description

The White Knight Renew Grout Pen is a simple, self-guiding paint pen for bringing tired grout lines back to a fresh white look, supplied here as a single white pen. It suits quick touch-ups and small areas, and it is also handy as the last step of a tile makeover, where it lets you draw clean new grout lines onto painted tiles.

About the formula
An enamel paint in a pen format, with a specially shaped nib that helps guide the line along the grout and keeps the job tidy. It is made to cover discoloured or faded grout and to recreate white grout lines on painted tiles. It dries quickly, and no primer is needed. It is rated as water resistant and splatter resistant. It is not a filler and will not repair cracked or missing grout.

Where to use it
Indoors: kitchen and bathroom wall tiles, splashbacks and floor tiles where the grout has yellowed, stained or been painted over.
Outdoors: tiled areas where you want to refresh grout lines. The pen is not rated as UV resistant, so expect colour in full sun to be less durable than indoors.

Suitable for painted grout lines and for discoloured grout between tiles. Do not use it as a filler.

How to use it
Painted grout should be dry before you start. If you are painting over discoloured grout, make sure it is free of grease, dirt and other contaminants. Shake the pen well with the cap on, then press the nib down several times and hold the pen at an angle that lets the paint flow properly. On vertical surfaces, work from the bottom up. Apply two coats, leaving at least an hour between them. If the colour starts to thin, wipe the nib with a soft cloth and press it down a few more times to get the paint flowing again. Keep the pen capped and lying flat when not in use.

Important notes
Do not apply when the air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C, or in very humid conditions. Recoat after about 1 hour, and allow around 2 hours to dry fully. The nib wears faster when used over unpainted grout. This pen re-whitens grout and is not a repair product, so fix any crumbling or missing grout first. Keep out of reach of children.
