Description
Yates Home Pest Ant & Nest Killer Gel Bait is a ready-to-use gel bait in a handy 10g syringe, made to deal with the whole ant colony rather than just the ants you can see. Worker ants feed on the sweet gel and carry it back to the nest, where it reaches the queen and the rest of the colony. It suits both indoor and outdoor ant problems around the home.
About the formula
A professional-style gel bait that uses a sugar-based attractant to draw ants in. The active ingredient is indoxacarb at 0.5 g/kg. Because the bait is taken back to the nest and shared, it works on the colony itself, including the queen. Yates describes the formulation as the kind used in sensitive settings such as schools and hospitals. A single syringe gives up to 100 bait placements.
Where to use it
Indoors: along ant trails, near cracks and crevices, and in spots where ants are most active.
Outdoors: around nest entrances and along trails the ants are following.
Applied as small gel spots, so it can be placed exactly where the ants are working.
How to use it
Find the nest entrance, the ant trails or the places where ants are busiest. Remove the cap from the syringe and touch the nozzle to the surface. Lightly press the plunger to put down a gel spot about 5mm long. Aim for at least 1 to 3 spots per square metre around the nest entrance or along the trails. Put the cap back on after use. Once all the gel spots have been eaten and ants are still active, apply fresh spots.
Important notes
Do not place the bait in exposed areas where children, pets or other animals can reach it. Keep it away from food, pet food and their water. Do not let the gel or empty containers get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds. Do not apply to surfaces hotter than 50 degrees C, as the gel may soften and lose effectiveness. This product is intended for ants only.

Safety
Wash your hands after use and keep the bait away from food and drinking water. Store it in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children, and away from direct sunlight. To dispose of an empty syringe, wrap it in paper, put it in a plastic bag and place it in the rubbish. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.
