Loctite Epoxy Instant Mix 5 Minute is a two-part adhesive consisting of an epoxy resin and a hardener. When mixed in equal volumes, the resin and hardener react to produce a tough, rigid, high strength bond, which starts to set in 5 minutes and reaches handling strength in 1 hour. The static mix nozzle delivers a uniform mixture of resin and hardener every time. It can be used as an adhesive for a wide range of materials or as a versatile filler for gap bonding, surface repairs and laminating. Loctite Epoxy Instant Mix 5 Minute does not shrink and is resistant to water and most common solvents. It can be tinted with earth pigments, cement or sand for color matching and can be sanded and drilled. Recommended on: Bonding metal, glass, ceramic, wood, many rigid plastics, china, tile, fibreglass, concrete and stone Can be combined with fibreglass cloth for a durable patch Great for crafting projects Properties Will not crack when drilled Can be tinted to match surrounding materials Water resistant: can be used outdoors Does not shrink   One-time application Convenient instant mix syringe  Consistently dispenses equal, uniformly mixed amounts of each component Sets in 5 minutes  Quick completion of the project How to Use: Step 1: Safety Precautions Well-ventilated area, gloves. Step 2: Preparation Protect work area. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, wax and paint. For better adhesion, roughen smooth surfaces prior to cleaning. Pre-fit parts to be joined. Remove plastic cap from the centre of the plunger. Turn nozzle end up and pull the plunger back slightly allowing air bubbles to rise to the top. Snap off and discard end of the syringe. Insert nozzle opening and push past prongs. Rotate nozzle 90° to lock into place. Step 3: Application Depress plunger to dispense equal amounts of hardener and resin directly onto the surface to be filled or bonded. Remove and discard nozzle. Wipe syringe tip immediately. Retract plunger slightly and close with the cap provided. Place objects together within 40 seconds of adhesive application. Bond sets in 40 to 60 seconds at 20°C to 25°C. Remove any excess adhesive immediately with mineral spirits. Usable strength is obtained within 5 to 10 minutes. Warmer temperatures will shorten the set time and cooler temperatures will lengthen it. Step 4: Cleanup Clean excess glue immediately with mineral spirits. Cured adhesive may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade. Prolonged immersion in paint stripper will soften the cured adhesive to aid removal.

Excellent for achieving a neat, clear finish when bonding large, flat close-fitting surfaces such as veneers and laminates for bench or table tops. Forms a durable, heat and water-resistant bond. Features Solvent based contact adhesive Applies clear and dries crystal clear Strong, durable bond on broad surfaces Easy to spread Heat resistant – up to 80°C Water resistant Where can this product be used? Applications where invisible bond lines are needed such as adhering decorative strips to a mirror Bonding veneers of timber and laminated plastics (e.g. Laminex and Formica) to bench or table tops Patching vinyl flooring or replacing a vinyl tile Cork tiling and laying a vinyl floor Fixing shoes or laminate to tables, benchtops, etc. Leather shoe and leather repairs, handbags, and leather work Adhering flexible or other materials to aluminium Joining or repairing holes in tents, car covers, and other outdoor equipment Seek advice of vinyl flooring manufacturers prior to use with their products as discolouration and bubbling can occur with some types. If in doubt, Kwik Grip Waterbased is safe to use for all these applications and will provide excellent bonding. Not suitable for bonding rough, ill-fitting surfaces. Consider using alternative products such as Selleys Liquid Nails for these applications. What materials is this product suitable for? Veneers Rubber Cork Felt Leather Canvas Metals Timber How to use this product Use only in a well-ventilated area. Contact Bonding Hold down lid while opening can. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. For porous surfaces, apply a thin coat to seal surface and allow to dry for approx. 40 minutes. Using an applicator, completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep apart until touch dry (approx. 15 minutes, no more than 30 minutes). Position items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart with dowels. When edges are perfectly aligned, remove dowels and press surfaces firmly together from one edge to the other. Secure the bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or by hammering from the centre outwards using a padded block. Maximum bond strength is reached after 24 hours. Clamping may be necessary for warped or curled surfaces. Wet Bonding (for small areas or porous surfaces) Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Apply Kwik Grip to one surface, then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy Tips Test plastics before use as solvents may attack some polystyrene and sheet vinyls. 500mL covers up to 2.5m² of one surface, depending on porosity. For vertical surfaces use Selleys Kwik Grip Vertical Gel. For confined or low-ventilation areas, use Selleys Kwik Grip Waterbased, which is non-toxic and fume-free. Use a brush, knife, or serrated scraper for application. Bonding is immediate once the two surfaces are joined. Keep container sealed when not in use. Surface Preparation and Cleanup For porous surfaces, clean with Selleys Liquid Sugar Soap. For non-porous surfaces (e.g. glass or metal), clean with mineral turpentine followed by methylated spirits. For old paint or residue, use Selleys Kwik Strip Smart and ensure surface is dry before applying adhesive. While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Cured adhesive is very difficult to remove. Tools can be cleaned by soaking in toluol or lacquer thinner. Keep Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes handy for quick cleanup. Safety: Contains highly flammable solvents. Ensure all fire precautions are observed. As an alternative, Kwik Grip Waterbased is non-flammable.

Selleys Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL is a reliable two part fast setting epoxy adhesive for durable repairs chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 24 mL pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Tarzan's Grip Grip for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Household and workshop repairs that need speed and strength Fixing fixtures, brackets, and hardware Filling chips and rebuilding small edges before sanding Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Metal hardware Ceramic tiles Most rigid plastics except polyethylene and polypropylene Timber and MDF Stone and concrete Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of 3 to 5 minutes working time. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Initial set is reached in about 5 minutes at 23 C. Sandable after several hours. Achieves high final strength after a full overnight cure. Temperature and environmental performance Performs well across typical domestic temperature ranges after cure. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Clean uncured excess with acetone on a cloth. Use care on painted substrates. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Keep sealed to prevent crystallisation. Store upright at moderate temperature. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

Bostik Ultra-Strong Clear Super Glue (Liquid, Odourless, Fast-Setting) Ultra-Strong Clear Super Glue is a professional-grade, medium-viscosity liquid adhesive designed for quick, reliable repairs on most non-porous materials. It forms an instant high-strength bond that sets in seconds and reaches full cure in 24 hours. The clear, solvent-free formulation is virtually odourless for a cleaner, more comfortable user experience, and its slightly flexible bond helps resist knocks and everyday drops once cured. Why You’ll Love It Fast setting: bonds in seconds to get you back to work quickly. Ultra strong: high strength once fully cured for durable, long-lasting repairs. Water & heat resistant: engineered to stand up to common household moisture and temperature swings. Odourless & solvent-free: cleaner application with a safer, low-irritation formula. Slightly flexible bond: helps absorb minor shocks and everyday handling. Ideal Materials Best results on clean, dry, non-porous surfaces including: China, ceramics and porcelain (non-permanent on items subject to frequent washing) Rubber and elastomers Metals and metal components Jewellery repair (non-food contact) Many rigid plastics* *Not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE (Teflon®). Not recommended for permanently bonding glass, high-alkaline materials, or items that are regularly washed. Avoid paper and other highly porous substrates. Where It Excels Quick household fixes (knobs, clips, figurines, trim) Hobby & craft assembly (non-porous parts) Workshop touch-ups and small component repair Office and general repair kits How It Works This liquid cyanoacrylate reacts with trace moisture on surfaces to polymerise rapidly, forming a high-strength thermoplastic bond. The medium viscosity helps wet out tight-fitting parts while minimising run-off when applied sparingly. Before You Start Surface prep: Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, rust, release agents or old adhesive. Lightly abrade glossy plastics/metal where appropriate and wipe clean. Dry fit first: Check alignment, clamping and support so parts come together quickly and accurately. Protect work area: Use disposable backing and keep caps, tissues and a small amount of acetone or nail-polish remover handy for cleanup. Application (Liquid) Open: For first use, attach/screw the nozzle and remove the cap. Apply a tiny amount: Place a small drop on one surface only. More glue can slow cure and weaken the joint. Assemble: Bring parts together immediately and hold with firm, even pressure for ~20 seconds. Avoid movement during initial set. Let it cure: Handling strength develops quickly; allow 24 hours for full cure and maximum performance. Clean-Up & Rework Fresh squeeze-out: Wipe carefully. Small residues may be treated with acetone/nail-polish remover and gently scraped once softened. On skin: Do not pull apart. Soak in warm, soapy water and gently roll/peel. Use a blunt tool (e.g., spoon handle) to separate bonded skin slowly. Pro Tips for Best Results Use the smallest effective drop—thin bondlines are stronger. Maintain close-fitting joints; gaps reduce cure speed and strength. Avoid bonding on PE, PP, PTFE and materials with heavy plasticisers or strong alkalinity. Allow the full 24-hour cure before exposing to stress, moisture or heat. Storage & Shelf Life Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place below 25 °C, away from direct sunlight. Typical shelf life: 12 months from manufacture when stored as directed. Safety Cyanoacrylate adhesive: bonds skin and eyes in seconds. Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. In eyes: rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention. Specifications Technology Modified Ethyl Cyanoacrylate (liquid, medium viscosity) Appearance / Colour Clear Typical Working / Set Time Up to ~20 seconds (conditions and substrates affect speed) Full Cure 24 hours Water & Heat Resistance Resistant after full cure (not for continual immersion or high-temperature structural loads) Odour / Solvents Virtually odourless; solvent-free formulation Bond Character Slightly flexible; resists minor knocks and drops when fully cured Suitable Substrates China, ceramics, rubber, metal, jewellery, many rigid plastics (non-porous, clean, dry) Not Recommended PE, PP, PTFE; permanent glass bonds; high-alkaline materials; frequently washed items; paper/very porous substrates Cleanup (Uncured) Acetone or nail-polish remover; scrape gently once softened Storage Cool, dry, below 25 °C; protect from sunlight Shelf Life 12 months from manufacture (stored as directed) FAQs Can I use it on flexible rubbers? Yes, many rubbers bond well; ensure surfaces are clean and oil-free. Is it dishwasher-safe? Not recommended for items that are regularly washed, soaked or immersed. Why shouldn’t I flood the joint? Excess adhesive slows cure and weakens the bond—thin layers perform best. Disposal Allow small residues to cure fully (exposed to air) before disposal in accordance with local regulations.

High-Grade Neutral Cure Silicone A high-grade neutral (non-corrosive) cure silicone formulated for superior adhesion to cement (e.g., grout). The product also contains a fungicidal protector for excellent mould and fungal resistance. Features Superior adhesion to mortar, grout, and metals. As the product does not lift at the edges and adheres so well to cement and grout, dirt, mould, and fungus will not become trapped, preventing unsightly black mould spots. Superior silicone formulation forms a durable seal that locks out water and does not shrink when drying. Built-in fungicide to inhibit the growth of mould. Available in a range of colours to suit most wet areas. Non-corrosive neutral cure formula. Low odour, so can be used in any environment without discomfort. Easy to clean once applied, as it resists moisture, hot cooking oils, and steam. Superior flexibility with +/- 25% movement capability and up to 400% elongation or stretch. Temperature resistance: approximately -60°C to +150°C. 25-year guarantee – when used as directed, i.e., for private use and within 12 months of purchase, the product is guaranteed against crumbling, cracking, or drying. Where can this product be used? Showers and sinks Metal, copper, and brass fittings Perfect for use on or around: Showers Baths Spas Sinks Plumbing Fixtures Can not be painted over. Not suitable for building materials that bleed oils or solvents, such as impregnated wood. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Ceramic, glazed & porcelain fixtures Metal, copper, and brass fittings Plastic laminates Rubber Glass Stainless steel Concrete and grouts Many plastics including polystyrene How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry the surface from oil, dirt, and grease with Mineral Turpentine first and then Methylated Spirits. Allow to dry completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone that needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER. This ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/Course Grain, as the silicone will adhere more readily to a scratched-up surface. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as the SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun. We recommend this caulking gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess from run-on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun, and extrude the silicone sealant. Move in a pushing motion along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpentine or, for a professional finish, use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpentine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before it skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpentine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately with mineral turpentine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces. The sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. At this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade, but avoid undercutting the seal. Handy Tips Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product for a neat finish and easy cleanup. When first applying, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish, complete painting prior to using the sealant as it cannot be painted over. Use a spatula dipped in mineral turpentine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant for a better finish. Work in sections that can be completed before the sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up spills and clean any material off the skin before it cures. Safety Tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as the product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and Re-Use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C. The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and cures once exposed to humidity. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When re-using, simply remove the foil and plug from the old nozzle, pull out the excess silicone, and re-pierce the tip of the cartridge. If cure has occurred inside the cartridge, the product is no longer usable and should be discarded.

Sikaflex® Crystal Clear adheres without primers and/or activators. However, for optimum adhesion and critical, high performance applications, such as on multi-story buildings, highly stressed joints, extreme weather exposure or water immersion, the following priming and/or pretreatment procedures shall be followed: Non-porous substrates Aluminium, anodised aluminium, stainless steel, PVC, galvanised steel, powder coated metals or glazed tiles have to be cleaned and pre-treated using Sika® Aktivator-205, wiped on with a clean towel. Before sealing, allow a flash-off time of > 15 minutes (< 6 hours). Other metals, such as copper, brass and titanium-zinc, also have to be cleaned and pre-treated using Sika® Aktivator-205,wiped on with a clean towel. After the necessary flash-off time, use a brush to apply Sika® Primer-3 N and allow a further flash-off time of > 30minutes (< 8 hours) before sealing the joints. Porous substrates Concrete, aerated concrete and cement based renders, mortars and bricks shall be primed using Sika® Primer-3 N applied with a brush. Before sealing, allow a flash-off time of > 30 minutes (< 8 hours). For more detailed advice and instructions please contact the local Sika Technical Services Department. Note: Primers are adhesion promoters. They are neither a substitute for the correct cleaning of a surface, nor do they improve the strength of the surface significantly. Bonding After substrate preparation, apply Sikaflex® Crystal Clear in beads, strips or spots to the bonding surface in intervals of a few centimetres each. Use hand pressure only to set the element to be bonded into position. If necessary, use SikaTack® Panel Tape during the initial hours of curing. An incorrectly positioned element can easily be unfastened and repositioned during the first few minutes after application. Apply pressure again. Optimum bonding will be obtained after the complete curing of Sikaflex® Crystal Clear. The recommended adhesive layer thickness (depending on surface evenness) is ≤3 mm. Fresh, uncured adhesive remaining on the surface must be removed immediately. Final strength will be obtained after complete curing of Sikaflex® Crystal Clear. Sealing After the necessary substrate preparation, insert a suitable backing rod to the required depth and apply any primer if necessary. Insert a cartridge into the sealant gun and extrude Sikaflex® Crystal Clear into the joint making sure that it comes into full contact with the sides of the joint and avoids any air entrapment. Sikaflex® Crystal Clear sealant must be firmly tooled against the joint sides to ensure adequate adhesion. It is recommended to use masking tape where exact joint lines or neat lines are required. Remove the tape within the skin time. Do not use tooling products containing solvents. Cleaning of Tools Clean all tools and application equipment immediately after use with Sika® Remover-208 and/or Sika® Wonder Wipes. Once cured, residual material can only be removed mechanically.

SELLEYS LIQUID NAILS Original is a premium grade multi-purpose construction adhesive that delivers a consistently strong and lasting bond on most building materials. Shrinkage and thermal movement in buildings can cause bonds to weaken over time, but Liquid Nails is flexible enough to respond to movement allowing a strong bond to be maintained over time. Features Strong bond – which will cope with shrinkage and thermal movement, so you know the job will last. Adheres well to wet and dry timber, so there is no need to wait for the timber to dry. Easily extruded and easy to use in low Winter temperatures, so it allows you to continue with the job at low temperatures. Paintable when dry, to give you a neat, quality finished job. Doesn’t drip, sag or string, so there is less mess when you are using the product. Is available in a range of sizes and delivery styles. Meets requirements specified by Australian Standard AS 2329-1999. Bridges gaps on rough and ill fitting construction material Has a life expectancy, when cured, of 20 years Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon, silicone or polystyrene. Perfect for use: Sheet flooring to joists Metal or aluminium door strips to floors or walls Timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls Masonite to timber Wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames Cork tiles to timber, fibro or plaster Tempered hardboard to floorboards To eliminate the squeaks in tongue & groove boards Not suitable for use on Mirrors, use Liquid Nails Mirrors, Metal and Glass Not suitable for use on Styrene Foam, use Liquid Nails Fast Not suitable for metals heated by direct sunlight, as bonds weaken at high temperatures. eg metal roofing and siding. Not suitable for bonding materials in areas which will be constantly damp or wet. Not suitable for use in tightly clamped joints eg cabinet making or joinery use Selleys Aquadhere What materials is this product suitable for? Brick & Concrete Plasterboard, particleboard & fibre cement sheeting Ceramic tiles Aluminium Painted surfaces Timber Hardboards Render Many other building surfaces   How to use this product Ensure the surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose powdery materials. If porous surfaces are greasy or dirty, we would recommend cleaning the surface with SELLEYS LIQUID SUGAR SOAP, and allow to dry. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with Mineral Turpetine and then again with Methylated Spirits, and allow to dry. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as old flaky paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS KWIK STRIP SMART, and allow to dry. On wet timber pooled water should be wiped off. Highly oily timber types may need to be wiped with solvent prior to application to remove surface oils. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/ Course grain, as the construction adhesive will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge. Cut the nozzle end to desired opening (approx. 5mm diameter). Fit to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of work which requires a caulking gun. Apply a bead of product along the length of the joist, stud or batten. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm. Fix the surfaces with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area. The product is repositionable for up to 20 minutes after fitting. Allow the adhesive to set (at least 24 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. For faster grab, apply to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow surfaces to dry 2-5 minutes before firmly joining. The time it takes to form a strong bond depends on the nature and conditions of the application. In most situations strong bonds can be achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over a 2-3 day period. The product will fully cure up to 7 days. When the product is still wet it can be removed with mineral turpetine, otherwise if the product is dry it can be removed by sanding or scraping, we recommend using a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper. Clean any excess from your hands with SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes. To eliminate squeaks in tongue and groove flooring, apply a bead of Liquid nails into the groove or each board when installing. Handy tips When applying to one surface, ensure sufficient LIQUID NAILS Original is used so that some adhesive extrudes out when surfaces are brought together then wipe off excess if necessary. If glue is not visible, then insufficient contact may not have been made between the surfaces and a weak joint may result. LIQUID NAILS Original should always be used in conjunction with mechanical fasteners in structural, critical or high stress applications. LIQUID NAILS Original is sometimes called LIQUID NAILS (SOLVENT) to differentiate it from the other Liquid Nails products. LIQUID NAILS Original shrinks slightly on curing. Cured LIQUID NAILS Original residues can be removed by holding a rag soaked in Mineral Turps against the residue, then rubbing the residue once softened. Mineral Turps penetrates in this way at approximately 1 mm per hour. When Liquid Nails Original joints are directly exposed to the weather, it is recommended to seal around the edges with a silicone sealant to prevent water ponding inside the joint and thus weaken the joint. LIQUID NAILS Original is NOT recommended for use on mirrors or polystyrene. Use LIQUID NAILS MIRROR METAL GLASS for mirrors and LIQUID NAILS FAST for polystyrene. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.

What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Aluminium Stainless Steel Many plastics including polystyrene Most woods Rubber/ canvas Glazed ceramics & porcelain How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow drying completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see handy tip. Sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal. For aquariums, allow the product to fully cure for 7 days. Prior to usage, thoroughly wash out with water, drain and refill before introducing fish. Suitable for constructing and repairing small aquariums. The specialist design required for large tanks. Contact SELLEYS if unsure. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as product releases acetic acid while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of the product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. UsesLiquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Liquid Nails Fast would typically be used for the following applications: Areas where nailing is not desirableSkirting boards, architraves, cornicesWall panelling to masonryStyrene foam to metal roofing Technical FeaturesFast grab – high initial holding minimises slippage when adhering on vertical surfacesMeets or exceeds AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards)Does not drip, sag or string between panelsBridges gaps and will adhere materials with uneven surfacesLow mess – excess and squeeze out is easily cleaned up with wet clothNo solvent fumes – ideal for large indoor jobsHigh flexibility – will withstand thermal movement and vibrationHigh heat resistance – will not lose bonds exposed to sunPaintable when dryEasy to extrude at all temperatures Application TipsLiquid Nails Fast should always be used in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except in low stress applications such as wall panelling and fixing light weight objects. (Bonds may creep under constant heavy loads.)Bonds are not water resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials drying time is greatly extendedThick applications take longer to dry than thin applicationsPre-test plastics to determine suitable bonding. Adheres well to UPVC. Not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. For wood flooring applications Liquid Nails (solvent based) is recommended. [Liquid Nails Fast is satisfactory for fixing sheet flooring (particleboard/ply) to joists in conjunction with the manufacturer’s minimum nailing specification but is not recommended for fixing sheet wood flooring to flat surfaces such as existing or concrete floors. Technical Details and PerformanceFor porous substrates good bond strength is achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over 2-3 day period. Liquid Nails Heavy Duty is a multipurpose construction adhesive that delivers extreme strength in a shorter space of time. The product is specifically designed for those demanding high performance applications, like attaching heavy or bulky materials, panelling, stone tiles, timber and furniture. Best of all it delivers heavy duty adhesion faster so you can get on with the next job. Features 2 X more strength than Liquid Nails Original in less than half the time Speed of cure means mechanical fasteners can be removed after 8 hours compared to 24 hours for Liquid Nails Original No slump or stringing, even when applying a bead to overhead surfaces Excellent resistance to water and weather makes it suitable for interior and exterior applications Easy to extrude from the cartridge at low winter temperatures Where can this product be used? Sheet flooring to joists Metal or aluminium door strips to floors and walls Timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls Masonite / hardboard to timber or floorboards Wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames Cork tiles to timber, fibre cement or plaster Timber flooring to yellow tongue in conjunction with mechanical fixings to avoid later squeaking What materials is this product suitable for? Timber MDF Plasterboard Plastics (Pre-test to determine suitability) Masonry Concrete Particleboard Metals Rubber Glass Tiles & ceramics How to use this product Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Surfaces to be bonded should be free of oil, grease and dust. On wet timber pooled water should be wiped off. Cut cartridge tip, fit nozzle and cut end to desired opening. (Approx 5 mm diameter). WET BOND METHOD Direct a bead along the length of the joist, stud or batten. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40 cm. (‘zig-zag’ beads are more appropriate on surfaces of moderate width; eg shiplap panels.) Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area. Wet bonds are repositionable for up to 15 mins after fitting. Allow adhesives to set (at least 8 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping.(Refer to Bond Strength Time.) CONTACT BOND METHOD – for faster grab Apply a bead to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow surfaces to dry 2-4 minutes before firmly joining. Surfaces should not be kept apart for longer than 10 minutes as to do so will impair bond strength Flooring: When fixing sheet flooring (e.g. particleboard), use in conjunction with flooring manufacturer’s installation specifications for minimum nailing requirements. Note: To eliminate squeaks in tongue and groove flooring, use Liquid Nails Heavy Duty in conjunction with mechanical fixings. Handy tips Time for strong bond depends on nature and condition of application. In most situations^ strong bond can be achieved after 8 hours and will continue to strengthen over a 2-3 day period. Full cure can take up to 7 days. ^Curing is achieved by evaporation of solvent. The time required to achieve the bond’s full strength is increased by: constant low temperatures; thick applications (joints) are used; wide areas are bonded; and when bonded surfaces are impervious (e.g. metals and dense timbers).

Liquid Nails Clear eliminates unsightly mess caused by conventional brown construction adhesives because it dries clear and blends with the surrounding surface. It is ideal where a fine finish is important. Uses Selleys Liquid Nails Clear is suitable for bonding to glass, fibreglass, metals, most plastics*, timber, particleboard, MDF, tiles & ceramics, concrete, painted and masonry substrates. Suitable for bonding mouldings & trims, skirting boards & architraves, general fabrication and creating mosaics. Pre-test plastics to determine compatibility. Technical Features High performance solvent based adhesive. Note: When use on glass to glass, thin film application is recommended for better clarity. Good paintability – Paintable with water based paints. Oil based paints require undercoating with water based paints first. Excellent resistance to water and weather makes it suitable for interior and exterior applications. Application Tips Due to solvent content Liquid Nails Clear should not be used in enclosed space or without ventilation Solvents may affect some plastics Will not bond polyolefin plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene May damage some polycarbonate, avoid smears and spills Cannot be used on polystyrene foam May not adhere to wet absorbent surfaces or to some old wet metals In very cold weather cartridge must be conditioned to room temperature before use Not recommended for permanent water immersion or water containment structures Must be first painted with water based paint prior to painting with oil based paints Will not accept common wood stains. (If staining is required, it is recommended to stain timber before bonding). Full cure in 2 weeks Not recommended for mirrors Bonds weaken at high temperatures. Avoid bonding metals or heavy materials which will be heated by direct sun. (Consult Selleys about particular applications subject to heating). Ensure that surfaces are free from dust, loose particles and dry. Cut cartridge tip, pierce membrane inside base of nub, fit nozzle and cut end to desired opening and fit cartridge into cartridge gun. In very cold weather, cartridge may need to be conditioned to room temperature for easier gunning. Direct a bead along the length of the joist, stud or batten.
