Gently wiggle the bonded area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the bond. After soaking, the adhesive should come off easily. To remove uncured Gorilla Super Glue, use a towel dampened with acetone or isopropyl alcohol to blot the area. Several applications may be necessary to completely remove the uncured glue. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. If glue comes in contact with hands, use acetone or white spirits to remove immediately and then rinse off with soapy water followed by hand creme. Alternatively wipe hands regularly while using Aquadhere Durabond. Once cured, adhesive is extremely difficult to remove from skin. If cured material is discovered on the skin, then rub vegetable oil or Vitamin E cream into the area repeatedly to accelerate the natural process of the skin shedding, which will in turn cause the cured product to fall off. Apply a small amount of adhesive to one surface only – with super glue, less is more. Bring the parts together promptly, align, and hold with light pressure for a few seconds. Leave the joint undisturbed while strength develops; avoid heavy loads until fully cured. Cure times Fixture speed depends on the substrate, gap, temperature and humidity. Typical fixture times: neoprene/NBR under 5 seconds; PVC 3–10 seconds; aluminium 5–15 seconds; steel 10–30 seconds; ABS 10–30 seconds; zinc 30–90 seconds. Allow up to 24 hours for full strength.
