Loxeal 24-18 Threadlocker Low Strength Anaerobic Adhesive 50ml

Description

Loxeal 24-18 Low Strength Anaerobic Threadlocker

Loxeal 24-18 is a low strength anaerobic threadlocker for nuts, bolts and screws of all types that need to be easily dismantled later with ordinary hand tools. It locks fasteners against loosening from vibration and thermal cycling while staying serviceable, making it the go-to grade for small screws, adjustment fasteners and parts that see regular maintenance.

Why choose Loxeal 24-18

  • Easy disassembly: low breakaway torque means fasteners come apart with standard tools, no heat needed in most cases.
  • Anti-vibration: prevents self-loosening caused by vibration, shock and temperature changes.
  • Wide chemical compatibility: resists water, gases, oils, gasoline, diesel and many chemicals.
  • Gas approved: DVGW approved as a gas-tight sealant for threaded fittings to European norm EN 751-1.
  • Service temperature from -55°C to +150°C.
  • Purple colour, fluorescent under blue light for easy inspection.

Typical applications

  • Locking small screws, grub screws, calibration and adjustment fasteners that require frequent servicing.
  • General automotive, machinery and DIY threadlocking where easy removal matters.
  • Thread sealing of metal fittings where a low strength, dismantlable seal is acceptable.

How to use

  1. Clean and degrease threads (Loxeal Cleaner 10 recommended).
  2. Apply enough product to fill the engaged threads.
  3. Assemble the parts and tighten as normal.
  4. Allow to cure before putting into service. On passivated surfaces or in cold conditions, use Loxeal Activator 11 to speed curing.

Cure times at +25°C

  • Handling: 15 to 30 minutes
  • Functional: 1 to 3 hours
  • Full cure: up to 24 to 36 hours depending on substrate, gap and temperature

Chemical resistance

Excellent resistance to gasoline and brake fluid at room temperature; excellent to good resistance to motor oil, gearbox oil and diesel at +125°C, and to 50 percent water glycol at +87°C.

Important notes

  • For metal fasteners. Liquid product can attack some coatings, plastics and elastomers; contact with some thermoplastics may cause stress cracking. Pre-test if unsure.
  • For disassembly use normal tools; if needed heat parts to +150°C to +250°C, remove cured residue mechanically and clean with acetone.
  • Store cool and dry at or below +25°C. Do not return used product to the bottle.
