Clamping Time (amount of time pressure needs to remain applied): 20–30 minutes for room temperature applications. The temperature must be above 55°F. Note that clamping time can be dependent on temperature, humidity, and the porosity of the wood. For 2 oz. bottles, tightly replace the lid after wiping clean and store in a cool, dry place. For bottle sizes 4 oz. and larger, we suggest squeezing excess air out of the bottle. While still squeezing, tightly replace the cap and then store in a cool, dry place. This helps eliminate moisture in the bottle. You should expect a year shelf life. What is the temperature range for applying the glue? For best results, apply the glue at room temperature. Original Gorilla Glue should be left out of reach of children and animals. Can you speed up the curing process? Original Gorilla Glue should be clamped for 1–2 hours. During this time, it reaches 80% cure. Allow 24 hours for 100% cure. Note that cure time can vary depending on temperature, humidity and the porosity of the bonding materials. Is Gorilla Glue truly 100% waterproof? Yes. Gorilla Glue is 100% waterproof. It passes ANSI/HPVA Types I and II. How do I extend the shelf life of Gorilla Glue? Gorilla Glue is moisture activated. Once the adhesive comes in contact with moisture, it can start to harden. To extend the shelf life, always wipe lid and nozzle clean with a dry cloth and tightly replace the lid. My bottle of glue has formed a dry layer on top; can I still use it? Any glue that is still in liquid form is perfectly usable and reliable. If the dry layer is very thin, use a pointed tool to poke through it and carefully pull the dry layer through the cap. Do not microwave or heat your bottle of Gorilla Glue to soften the top layer. How do I clean up Gorilla Glue? Wipe off excess glue immediately with a dry cloth or standard paint thinner. Do not drag glue over material; instead, make small swipes to remove wet adhesive. Make sure you avoid skin contact. There are many different ways to clamp the surfaces, but keep in mind the stronger the pressure, the better the bond will be. Professional clamps are ideal, but if those aren’t handy, you can use heavy weight from bricks, books or even Gorilla Tape. The key is to ensure a tight-fitting glue line by applying even distribution of pressure. How much Gorilla Glue should I apply? Apply a thin layer of glue. A little bit goes a long way. As a general guide, use a ½ ounce per square foot. Be careful of uncured “squeeze-out” or wet glue, particularly on finished furniture. Davco PrimeX Multipurpose Acrylic Primer 5L is a professional-grade, water-based primer specially formulated to improve the adhesion of tile adhesives and waterproofing membranes to porous surfaces. Ideal for interior and exterior walls and floors in domestic and commercial applications, this primer ensures strong bonding performance while reducing porosity and dusting of substrates. Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, wax, paint, curing compounds, and other contaminants. Remove any laitance, loose materials, or previous coatings that may interfere with adhesion. On hot or windy days, dampen porous substrates lightly to avoid flash drying—but do not leave standing water. Application Instructions: Stir the primer thoroughly before use. Apply evenly using a roller, brush, broom, or squeegee in a thin, consistent layer. Allow the primer to dry fully before proceeding—drying is complete when the white, milky appearance turns clear. Coverage: Approximately 6–10m² per litre, depending on surface porosity. Drying Time: Typically dries within 30–60 minutes under standard conditions. Davco Grey One Pot Premixed Tile Adhesive is a high-performance, ready-to-use acrylic-based adhesive, perfect for interior wall and floor tiling. Its premixed formula eliminates the need for onsite preparation, providing excellent adhesion and ease of application for both professionals and DIYers. Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, or any other contaminants. Painted or glossy surfaces should be roughened and cleaned. For porous surfaces, priming may be required to ensure maximum adhesion. Application Instructions: Stir the adhesive thoroughly before use. Using a notched trowel, apply the adhesive to the substrate. Only spread as much adhesive as can be tiled within 20 minutes. Firmly press tiles into the adhesive, ensuring full coverage on the tile back. Adjust tiles within 20 minutes of placing them. Allow adhesive to set for 24 hours before grouting. Coverage: Approximately 0.75–1.25 m² per litre using a 6mm notched trowel. Coverage may vary depending on substrate and trowel size. Drying Time: Allow 24 hours before grouting.
