Step 2: Preparation Protect work area. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, wax and paint. For better adhesion, roughen smooth surfaces prior to cleaning. Pre-fit parts to be joined. Remove plastic cap from the centre of the plunger. Turn nozzle end up and pull the plunger back slightly allowing air bubbles to rise to the top. Snap off and discard end of the syringe. Insert nozzle opening and push past prongs. Rotate nozzle 90° to lock into place. Step 3: Application Depress plunger to dispense equal amounts of hardener and resin directly onto the surface to be filled or bonded. Remove and discard nozzle. Wipe syringe tip immediately. Retract plunger slightly and close with the cap provided. Place objects together within 40 seconds of adhesive application. Bond sets in 40 to 60 seconds at 20°C to 25°C. Remove any excess adhesive immediately with mineral spirits. Usable strength is obtained within 5 to 10 minutes. Warmer temperatures will shorten the set time and cooler temperatures will lengthen it. Step 4: Cleanup Clean excess glue immediately with mineral spirits. Cured adhesive may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade. Prolonged immersion in paint stripper will soften the cured adhesive to aid removal.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, cement laitance, old sealants and poorly bonded paint coatings which could affect adhesion of the adhesive. For optimum adhesion and critical, high performance applications the following priming and/or pre-treatment procedures shall be followed: Non-porous substrates Aluminium, anodised aluminium, stainless steel, galvanised steel, powder coated metals or glazed tiles, slightly roughen surface with a fine abrasive pad. Clean and pre-treat using Sika® Aktivator-205 applied with a clean cloth. Before bonding / sealing, allow a waiting time of > 15 minutes (< 6 hours). Other metals, such as copper, brass and titanium-zinc, clean and pre-treat using Sika® Aktivator-205 applied with a clean cloth. After a waiting time of > 15 minutes (< 6 hours). Selleys White For Life Ready To Use Grout is a premium-quality, pre-mixed grout designed to deliver a brilliant, long-lasting white finish for wall and floor tiles. Suitable for interior applications with joints up to 5mm, this product is ideal for both new tile installations and regrouting jobs. Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, old grout, and other contaminants. For new tiling jobs, let tile adhesive set for at least 24 hours. For regrouting, completely remove old grout and thoroughly clean the joints. Application Instructions: Cut the cartridge tip and attach the nozzle. Trim to desired bead width. Using a caulking gun, apply grout into joints, pressing it in to eliminate air gaps. Smooth grout using a rubber float or grout applicator, working diagonally. After 15–20 minutes (depending on temperature), gently wipe tile surfaces with a damp sponge to remove excess grout and haze. Avoid over-wetting and excessive wiping, which can weaken the grout lines. After 24 hours, polish tile surfaces with a soft dry cloth to remove any remaining haze. Smooth with a wet spatula, ensuring sufficient product remains in joint. Clean up with a damp cloth immediately. Allow to skin (about 30 minutes) before painting with water-based paints. If oil-based paints are to be used, or if gaps are large, allow sealant to set for about 24 hours and ensure the product is completely cured. Protect from water until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Limitations: For new weatherboard, check weatherboard manufacturers instructions before using this product Note that in very harsh conditions, joints between boards may expand beyond products movement capability. In such cases re-apply product and paint over. Handy Tips Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of gap filler. If you are going to wipe off the excess gap filler with a wet finger, ensure you wet your finger with water and not saliva, as saliva contains bacteria and this will increase the chances of mould growing in your gap filler. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats and flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect, allow the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. For maximum durability on bare exterior surfaces, apply a coat of acrylic paint and allow to dry, before applying this gap sealant. Always paint over with a quality exterior paint. To ensure you get a professional finish ensure you paint with a good quality paint and paint brush. Painting with a good brush ensures the finish and durability of the paint is increased. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

Wipe off excess adhesive while still wet with a damp cloth. If the wood is to be stained, any residual Aquadhere left on the timber surface may prevent the stain from taking to the wood. Maximum strength is achieved after 12 hours, but longer in cold, damp conditions, or when used on dense timbers. Cure slows significantly in humid, cold conditions. Clean all tools with water before the adhesive is allowed to dry. If dry, soak in water until adhesive is soft.
