  • Poly Gap Filler Sealant Multipurpose [White]

Poly Poly Gap Filler Sealant Multipurpose [White]

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

A flexible multipurpose gap filler, to fill gaps around cornice, wall joints, skirting board, window and door frames where where movement causes ordinary fillers to crack or fall out. For use on: Wood, brick, aluminium, glass, plasterboard, ceramic tiles and painted surfaces (INTERIOR & EXTERIOR) Coverage: 30m/3mm bead. Dry time: Skins in 30 minutes at 25°C. Full cure in 7days. Ready to use: YES Available in: 475g Colour: White NOTE: Not for fine joints between tongue and groove boards or weatherboard overlaps. • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil, dust, grease, flaking paint and old sealant. • Using caulking gun, push sealant ahead of nozzle forcing it onto the surface and into the joint. Ensure the sealant is touching both sides of the gap. • Smooth with wet finger or knife and remove excess sealant immediately with a damp cloth. • Allow sealant to skin approx 30 min before painting with water-based paints. • Allow to set for 48 hours if using oil based paint or if joint is large. • Some water-based undercoats and flat paints may crack on drying. Test a small section of sealant. Paint cracking may be reduced by using a vinyl/ acrylic semi glossed paint or oil based undercoats first, or by allowing the sealant to cure thoroughly before painting. • Do not use outside if rain is imminent, not for contantly damp areas. • Painting improves exterior durability. • Use Poly silicone sealants for a watertight seal or where movement is excessive. • Water clean up Q. How do I fill gaps between my wooden window frames and inside wall? A. You're dealing with two different materials here, plaster and wood. To allow for differential movement between them, use Polyfilla Gap Filler, wiping off any excess with a damp cloth. Q. I painted over the areas where I used Polyfilla Gap Filler and now cracks have appeared. Why has this happened? A. If the gap filler was not cured sufficiently before it was painted over, cracks can occur as the gap filler shrinks. To prevent this, allow 48 hours drying time when you are filling large gaps or painting with oil-based paints. Also, some water based undercoats and paints shrink during drying and as Polyfilla Gap Filler is flexible, it won't stop cracks appearing in the shrinking paint on its surface. Test the paint on a small section of gap filler and if this is a problem you can reduce cracking by allowing the filler to cure thoroughly or by first coating it with a vinyl/acrylic semi-gloss or oil-based undercoat. Q. Why does my gap filler keeps cracking? A. It is important to remember that the width of a gap affects how much the product can move. Fine cracks less than 2mm allow the gap filler to move only very tiny amounts before it may crack again. It is best to ensure that you have at least 3mm worth of product so you can maximise the movement capability of your joint.

Loxeal Superlox Polyolefin Bonder 25ml Bi-Syringe (Single) Loxeal Superlox is a two-part acrylic adhesive developed to bond polyolefins, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), HDPE and LDPE, and other notoriously difficult low-surface-energy plastics, without primers, flame treatment or other expensive surface pre-treatments. This listing is for a single 25ml bi-syringe supplied with a mixing nozzle, dispensing the two components at a simple 1:1 ratio, so you can buy just what one job needs. It joins polyolefins to each other and to other plastics such as ABS and PVC, and to metals, producing structural joints with high shear and peel strength. Why choose Loxeal Superlox? Bonds the "unbondable", PP, PE, HDPE and LDPE plus other low-surface-energy plastics No primer or surface pre-treatment required, clean, apply, assemble Single 25ml bi-syringe with mixing nozzle, fresh adhesive for the job at hand Simple 1:1 mixing ratio through the supplied static mixing nozzle Structural performance, high shear and peel strength on plastics and mixed-material joints Also bonds polyolefins to other plastics (ABS, PVC) and to metals Typical applications Repairing and fabricating PP and PE components: tanks, housings, containers, piping and trim Joining polyolefin parts to dissimilar plastics or metal brackets and fittings Manufacturing and maintenance work on low-surface-energy plastic assemblies How to use Clean the surfaces to remove dust, oil and grease (for example with Loxeal Cleaner 10) and allow to dry. Fit the static mixing nozzle to the bi-syringe and discard the first few centimetres of extruded adhesive. Apply the mixed adhesive to one surface. Assemble the parts promptly and hold or clamp them without movement while the adhesive sets. Leave the joint undisturbed until fully cured before applying load. Cure times Fast curing at room temperature, parts typically fixture within minutes of assembly Allow 24 hours for full strength before placing joints under working load Refer to the Technical Data Sheet for precise fixture and cure data for your conditions Specifications Chemistry Two-part structural acrylic, polyolefin bonder Mixing ratio 1:1 by volume via static mixing nozzle Key substrates PP, PE, HDPE, LDPE and other low-surface-energy plastics; also ABS, PVC and metals Surface preparation No primer or pre-treatment required, clean and dry surfaces only Strength profile High shear and peel strength Pack size 1 x 25ml bi-syringe with mixing nozzle Buying more than one? If you use Superlox regularly, the Superlox trade pack of 10 x 25ml bi-syringes works out cheaper per syringe. Important notes Work at room temperature; low temperatures slow the cure Use each mixing nozzle for one continuous application, fit a fresh nozzle if work is interrupted Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically Store in a cool, dry place at no more than +25°C Safety Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid skin and eye contact. Product information is provided as a general guide only. • Dunlop Coloured Render Texture Coat 12.5L

Dunlop Dunlop Coloured Render Texture Coat 12.5L

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Coloured Render Texture Coat is a premixed, coloured acrylic texture coat that delivers a durable, contemporary decorative finish straight from the pail. Tinted in a range of popular Colorbond® colours, it lets you match rendered walls to roofing, gutters and trims without painting afterwards. The easy trowel-and-float formulation applies like a render but finishes like a designer coating, and its protective acrylic film shrugs off weather for a long-lasting, low-maintenance facade.Where to use itFor indoor and outdoor decorative finishing over brick, blockwork, concrete, blueboard and compressed fibre cement sheet — typically as the final coat over a levelled base render such as Dunlop Multipurpose Acrylic Render or Flexible Fine Coat Render. Choose from Surfmist, Dune, Woodland Grey and Monument to complement your colour scheme. How to useEnsure the base surface is clean, dry, sound and uniform; make good any defects with Dunlop Render Joint & Patch first. Stir the pail thoroughly to an even colour, then apply with a steel trowel to a thin, consistent film of around 1mm. While still workable, rub up with a plastic float in a circular motion to develop the characteristic texture. Work wall sections wet-edge to wet-edge to avoid joins, and use pails from the same batch on a single elevation. Tools clean up with water. A 12.5L pail covers up to 10m² at 1mm thickness.Important notesColour consistency is best when complete walls are finished in one session from mixed batches. Avoid application in rain, extreme heat or onto damp substrates; drying slows in cold, humid conditions.Specifications Size 12.5L pail Colours Surfmist, Dune, Woodland Grey, Monument (Colorbond®) Coverage Up to 10m² at 1mm per pail Finish Coloured acrylic texture coat SafetyWater-based acrylic coating. • Dunlop Multipurpose Acrylic Render 20kg

Dunlop Dunlop Multipurpose Acrylic Render 20kg

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Multipurpose Acrylic Render is a high-performance, polymer-modified render engineered for superior trowelability and a no-sag, no-crack result even at higher builds. It can be applied from 2mm right up to 10mm in thickness without slumping, which makes it equally at home as a levelling base coat over rough masonry or as a straightening coat before a fine or textured finish. One bag covers the jobs a standard sand-and-cement mix struggles with, while remaining easy to rule off and float.Where to use itFor indoor and outdoor rendering over AAC panels and blocks, brickwork, concrete blockwork and concrete walls. Use it to render new masonry, level uneven walls, and build out hollows before finishing with Dunlop Ready-to-Go Render, Fine Coat Render or Coloured Render Texture Coat. How to usePrepare a clean, sound, dust-free substrate and dampen very porous masonry or apply the recommended primer. Mix the powder with clean water to a smooth, workable consistency, then apply with a steel trowel at 2-10mm. Rule off with a straight edge, allow to firm, then float or sponge to the desired surface. The Dunlop Gauging Trowel helps achieve a professional finish. As a guide, 20kg covers approximately 6.5m² at 2mm, 2.6m² at 5mm or 1.3m² at 10mm thickness.Important notesDo not exceed 10mm per coat — build very deep sections in multiple passes. Avoid application in direct hot sun, high wind or onto frozen or saturated substrates, and protect fresh render from rapid drying. Allow to cure fully before over-coating or painting.Specifications Size 20kg bag Colour Light Grey Coverage 6.5m² at 2mm, 2.6m² at 5mm, 1.3m² at 10mm per bag Application thickness 2-10mm SafetyContains cement — wet render is alkaline and can irritate or burn skin and eyes. Dunlop Dunlop Flexible Fine Coat Render 20kg

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Flexible Fine Coat Render is a high-performance, fibre-reinforced, polymer-modified render that produces a fine, closed finish with superior adhesion and flexibility. The embedded fibres and flexible polymers allow the render to tolerate the minor movement common to sheeted and composite walls, dramatically reducing the risk of surface cracking. It can be applied by standard trowelling methods or by spray, and a variety of decorative finishes can be achieved depending on how it is floated or sponged.Where to use itSuitable for indoor and outdoor use over an unusually wide range of substrates: FC sheet and blueboard, concrete and blockwork, sound painted surfaces (alkali stable and water resistant), existing render, AAC panels and blocks, and EPS foam panels. It is the go-to finishing render where substrate movement or mixed materials would defeat a rigid render. How to useEnsure the substrate is clean, sound and free of dust, oil and loose coatings; prime where the system requires. Mix the powder with clean water to a smooth, lump-free consistency and apply by steel trowel or spray at 2-10mm thickness. Rule off, allow the render to firm, then float, sponge or texture to the desired finish. A 20kg bag covers approximately 6.5m² at 2mm or 2.6m² at 5mm thickness. Clean tools with water before the render sets.Important notesStay within the 2-10mm application range per coat. Avoid rendering in extreme heat, wind or imminent rain, and protect the fresh surface from rapid drying. Painted substrates must be firmly bonded, alkali-stable and water resistant.Specifications Size 20kg bag Colour Grey Coverage 6.5m² at 2mm or 2.6m² at 5mm per bag Application thickness 2-10mm Reinforcement Fibre-reinforced, polymer modified SafetyCement-based powder — the wet mix is alkaline and dust can irritate airways. • Dunlop Render Joint & Patch 4L

Dunlop Dunlop Render Joint & Patch 4L

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Render Joint & Patch is a high-performance, two-in-one compound for rendering projects: it joints fibre cement sheet and blueboard before render is applied, and it patches cracks and holes in existing rendered surfaces up to 5mm deep or wide. Supplied premixed in a light grey colour that blends into most render systems, it takes the fuss out of preparation work — one pail handles both the sheet joints and the surface defects before your finishing coat goes on. The 4L size is perfect for repairs and smaller rendering jobs.Where to use itOn interior and exterior walls. As a jointing compound, use it over blueboard and fibre cement sheet prior to rendering. As a patching compound, use it over sound existing render to fill hairline cracks, chips, divots and small holes before re-coating or painting. How to useSurfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, loose render and contaminants. Stir the pail, then trowel the compound firmly over sheet joints (embedding tape where the sheet system requires) or press it into cracks and holes, striking off flush with the surrounding surface. Feather edges smooth with a trowel — the Dunlop Gauging Trowel gives a professional finish. Allow to dry fully before applying render, texture or paint, and wash tools in water straight after use.Important notesMaximum patch depth or width is 5mm — build deeper repairs in stages or use a repair mortar. In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Render Joint & Patch in the 10L trade pail is a high-performance combination product that covers two essential preparation steps in one: jointing fibre cement sheet and blueboard ahead of rendering, and patching cracks and holes up to 5mm in existing rendered walls. Premixed to a smooth, light grey consistency, it goes straight from pail to trowel with no mixing, keeping preparation fast and consistent across large jobs. The 10L size is the economical choice for renderers and builders working across full elevations or multiple rooms.Where to use itIndoors and outdoors on walls. Use as a jointing compound over blueboard and fibre cement sheeting before render systems are applied, and as a patching compound over sound existing render to make good cracks, holes and surface defects up to 5mm deep or wide before re-rendering, texture coating or painting. How to usePrepare a clean, dry, sound surface free of dust, loose material and contaminants. Trowel the compound firmly across sheet joints, embedding jointing tape where required by the sheet manufacturer, and feather the edges flush. For patching, press the compound into the defect, strike off level and smooth the surface — the Dunlop Gauging Trowel helps achieve a professional finish. Allow to dry completely before over-coating, and clean tools with water while the product is still wet.Important notesRepairs deeper or wider than 5mm need staged applications or a dedicated repair mortar. Dunlop Dunlop Flexible FC Jointing Compound 8kg

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Dunlop Flexible FC Jointing Compound in the 8kg trade pail is a premixed, flexible jointing compound for fibre cement sheet and blueboard, formulated to prepare sheet joints before decorative coatings, texture finishes or render go on. Ready to use straight from the container, it removes mixing from the workflow entirely and keeps a consistent, workable body from the first trowel-load to the last. Its flexible acrylic formulation moves with the substrate to resist joint cracking, while strong adhesion keys the compound firmly to the sheet surface.Where to use itFor jointing fibre cement sheeting and blueboard on interior and exterior walls — cladding, facades, garage conversions, extensions and commercial sheeted walls — prior to painting, texture coating or rendering. The larger pail suits whole-wall and multi-room jobs where a 3kg pack would run short. How to useCheck that sheets are rigidly fixed and joints are clean, dry and dust-free. Apply the compound over each joint with a trowel or broad knife, embedding jointing tape where the sheet manufacturer requires it, then finish with a band approximately 75mm wide and 1mm thick, feathered smooth at the edges. Allow to dry completely before over-coating. Wet compound cleans off tools with water. Coverage is approximately 7 lineal metres per kilogram at 75mm width and 1mm thickness, so an 8kg pail joints in the order of 55 lineal metres.Important notesDesigned movement joints should be finished with a flexible sealant rather than jointing compound. Drying slows in cold or humid weather. Keep the lid sealed between uses and do not thin the product with water.Specifications Size 8kg pail Colour Grey Coverage Approx. 7Lm per kg (75mm wide at 1mm thick) Location Indoor and outdoor walls SafetyWater-based acrylic product. Dunlop Ready-to-Go Render is a premixed white render supplied in a resealable pail, ready to trowel straight onto the wall with no mixing, no dust and no wasted powder. Its easy trowel-and-float formulation makes it one of the most approachable renders for first-time renderers, while still giving experienced applicators a smooth, workable body. Stir the pail contents, then apply the compound directly over the bedding with a gauging or pointing trowel, working it firmly against both the ridge tile and the roof tile surfaces to a thickness of roughly 3-5mm. Tool off to a neat finish. Wash tools in warm water immediately after use. Coverage is approximately 2 lineal metres per litre, so a 10L pail points roughly 20-22 lineal metres of ridging depending on technique.Important notesNever add water to Tile Pointing. Cold (below 10°C), damp or humid conditions lengthen drying time, while hot, windy weather can significantly shorten working time — avoid application if rain is imminent.Specifications Size 10L pail Colours Slate Grey, Charred Ash, Jet Black, Sand, Terracotta Coverage Approx. 2 lineal metres per litre (20-22Lm per pail) Application thickness 3-5mm Classification C4 - cyclonic region approved SafetyLow VOC, water-based compound. Dunlop Flexible FC Jointing Compound is a premixed, flexible compound for jointing fibre cement sheet and blueboard before decorative coatings are applied. Because it comes ready to use straight from the pail, there is no on-site mixing, no powder mess and no guesswork about water ratios — simply open, stir and trowel. The flexible formulation accommodates the minor movement typical of sheeted walls, while its excellent adhesion delivers a reliable, crack-resistant joint. The compact 3kg pail is ideal for smaller sheeting jobs and repairs.Where to use itUse on interior and exterior walls to finish joints between fibre cement sheets and blueboard prior to painting, texture coating or rendering. It is the recommended first step in preparing sheeted facades, extensions and infill panels for a decorative finish. How to useEnsure sheets are securely fixed and joints are clean, dry and free of dust. Where the sheet system requires it, embed jointing tape in a first application of compound. Apply the compound over the joint with a trowel or broad knife in a band roughly 75mm wide and about 1mm thick, feathering the edges smooth into the sheet face. Allow to dry fully before over-coating with paint, texture or render. Tools clean up with water while the compound is wet. Coverage is approximately 7 lineal metres per kilogram at a 75mm width and 1mm thickness — around 21 lineal metres from this 3kg pail.Important notesNot a structural adhesive or gap filler for moving joints wider than the system allows — use a flexible sealant at designed movement joints. Cold or humid conditions extend drying time. Reseal the pail after use to keep the remainder workable.Specifications Size 3kg pail Colour Grey Coverage Approx. 7Lm per kg (75mm wide at 1mm thick) Location Indoor and outdoor walls SafetyWater-based acrylic compound. Part of the Plastermate plastering range that Prep Productions has manufactured in Sydney for over 25 years, it is used by professional plasterers and DIY renovators alike. Apply walnut-sized dabs of adhesive to the stud face, spaced per the plasterboard manufacturer's specification for the sheet and frame type. Press the sheet into position and fix with screws or nails as the lining system requires. Refer to the pail label for open time and cure guidance. Wash tools and hands in warm soapy water before the adhesive dries. Important notes Dab size and spacing should follow the plasterboard system you are installing; the adhesive complements, not replaces, mechanical fixings. Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight with the lid sealed. Dried residue is combustible even though the wet paste is not; let spills harden and dispose of them per local regulations. Specifications Size 5.2kg pail Type Water-based acrylic stud adhesive Colour Light blue Consistency Thick non-slump paste Substrates Plasterboard to timber and steel studs Standard AS 2753 Clean up Warm soapy water Made in Australia SafetyNot classified as hazardous and not a scheduled poison. Prep Productions Prep Plastermate Stud Adhesive For Plasterboard To Timber And Steel Studs 1kg (Acrylic)

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Plastermate Stud Adhesive is a pre-mixed, trade-quality wallboard adhesive for fixing plasterboard sheets to wall and ceiling framing. Part of the Plastermate plastering range that Prep Productions has manufactured in Sydney for over 25 years, it is used by professional plasterers and DIY renovators alike. The smooth, non-slump paste holds its dab shape, which matters most when you are working overhead on ceilings, and it grabs strongly to both timber and steel studs. It complies with Australian Standard AS 2753, the standard for wallboard adhesives. The 1kg tub suits patch jobs and small lining work.Formula overviewA thick, water-based acrylic paste: an acrylic copolymer binder loaded with fine mineral filler gives it very high viscosity, so dabs stay exactly where you put them without slumping or stringing. It is light blue in colour, ready to use straight from the tub, and non-flammable.Where to use itIndoor: bonding plasterboard to timber studs and metal or steel studs for wall and ceiling linings.Outdoor: not intended for exterior use or wet areas unless the board manufacturer's system specifies otherwise. Interior work that benefits from a neat finish and tidy joints. Projects where dependable initial grab and high final strength are important. Surface preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound, and dry. Remove dust, oil, release agents, laitance, and any loose or flaky material. For dense or non-porous surfaces, light abrasion improves key. Test adhesion on a small area if you are unsure about compatibility. Observe local safety requirements when sanding or cutting. Application Check ambient and substrate temperature. Ideal application between 10°C and 30°C. Protect from freezing and rapid drying. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size or prepare the container according to the product type. Apply an even bead or spread with a suitable trowel where required. Avoid trapping air. Press the materials together, ensuring full contact. For sheet goods, roll firmly to promote transfer and wetting. Support, clamp, or brace as needed until the adhesive develops sufficient handling strength. Cure and working time Pot life and open time vary by product. Typically, tiles can be adjusted within minutes. Grouting commonly permitted after 24 hours under standard conditions. Cooler temperatures and high humidity will slow curing, while warmer, drier conditions accelerate it. Do not load or finish until the bond has developed adequate strength. Always follow best practice for ventilation and safe handling during cure. Coverage Coverage varies based on substrate profile, bead size, and installation method. As a guide, a 300 ml cartridge with a 6 mm round bead can lay several linear meters. For trowel applied adhesives, a notched trowel pattern will influence yield. Plan to have extra on hand for porous or uneven surfaces. Limitations Do not apply to surfaces that are visibly wet unless the product specifically allows damp application. Avoid continuous water immersion unless the product is rated for that exposure. Not all plastics are compatible; test on polypropylene, polyethylene, and PTFE if required. Observe maximum service temperature and any movement or vibration limits appropriate to the application. Clean up Clean excess adhesive from tile faces immediately with a damp sponge. Hardened material must be removed mechanically. Always read the product label and follow local regulations for disposal of leftover material and containers. Safety Read the label before use and keep out of reach of children. Use in a well ventilated area. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. If on skin, wash with soap and water.
