How to use the product
Ensure surfaces are clean and free from grease or loose particles
Use a high thrust caulking gun and the supplied V-notch nozzle to apply in vertical stripes 5cm apart. Ensure the V shape is angled upward when applying.
Position materials and press together firmly. Due to the high initial hold of the product support during curing is not necessary (subject to weight limitations for non-porous surfaces).
Holds instantly but must not be disturbed until cured (up to 48 hours).
Adjustable e.g. can be straightened for up to 15 minutes

If the adhesive is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required.
For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air.
When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess adhesive from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use.
If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be disposed.

How to use
Make sure surfaces are clean, free from grease, girt and grime. Sand back any loose or peeling surfaces.
Pull off cap, unscrew nozzle and pierce membrane with the tip of the nozzle. Replace nozzle and cut along the second ridge.
Cover one surface in the adhesive in long vertical strips.
After applying the adhesive, press surfaces together firmly, ensuring the adhesive spreads.
Clean up any excess product with methylated spirits.

How to use this product
Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow drying completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy.
Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up.
Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge.
Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing.
Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action.
For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine.
Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine.
Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see handy tip.
Sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal.
For aquariums, allow the product to fully cure for 7 days. Prior to usage, thoroughly wash out with water, drain and refill before introducing fish. Suitable for constructing and repairing small aquariums. The specialist design required for large tanks. Contact SELLEYS if unsure.
Handy tips
Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass
Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up.
The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint.
When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant.
Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins.
For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over.
For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant.
Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish.
Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.
Safety tips
Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin.
Avoid breathing in vapours.
Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as product releases acetic acid while curing.

How to Use
AS AN ADHESIVE: Apply a bead or small blobs on surface. Assemble parts together and clamp firmly to hold until cured. Remove excess immediately. Initial bond achieved in 24 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Bond strength increases over a few days.
AS A SEALANT: Extrude sealant into the joint ensuring full contact with the sides of joint. Avoid entrapment of air. Smooth sealant with spatula forcing it into the joint. For best performance, install joint backing rod (polyethylene or polyurethane foam rod) in the joint to control depth and ensure joint movement. Suitable for +/- 25% joint movement. Complies with ISO11600/F/25HM.
Limitations:

Silicone 401 is suitable for form-in-place gaskets and for adhesive, sealing and electrical insulating applications in manufacturing and plant maintenance.

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil, dust, grease, flaking paint and old sealant.
• Using caulking gun, push sealant ahead of nozzle forcing it onto the surface and into the joint. Ensure the sealant is touching both sides of the gap.
• Smooth with wet finger or knife and remove excess sealant immediately with a damp cloth.
• Allow sealant to skin approx 30 min before painting with water-based paints.
• Allow to set for 48 hours if using oil based paint or if joint is large.
• Some water-based undercoats and flat paints may crack on drying. Test a small section of sealant. Paint cracking may be reduced by using a vinyl/ acrylic semi glossed paint or oil based undercoats first, or by allowing the sealant to cure thoroughly before painting.
• Do not use outside if rain is imminent, not for contantly damp areas.

Q. How do I fill gaps between my wooden window frames and inside wall?
A. You're dealing with two different materials here, plaster and wood. To allow for differential movement between them, use Polyfilla Gap Filler, wiping off any excess with a damp cloth.
Q. I painted over the areas where I used Polyfilla Gap Filler and now cracks have appeared. Why has this happened?
A. If the gap filler was not cured sufficiently before it was painted over, cracks can occur as the gap filler shrinks. To prevent this, allow 48 hours drying time when you are filling large gaps or painting with oil-based paints. Also, some water based undercoats and paints shrink during drying and as Polyfilla Gap Filler is flexible, it won't stop cracks appearing in the shrinking paint on its surface. Test the paint on a small section of gap filler and if this is a problem you can reduce cracking by allowing the filler to cure thoroughly or by first coating it with a vinyl/acrylic semi-gloss or oil-based undercoat.
Q. Why does my gap filler keeps cracking?
A. It is important to remember that the width of a gap affects how much the product can move. Fine cracks less than 2mm allow the gap filler to move only very tiny amounts before it may crack again. It is best to ensure that you have at least 3mm worth of product so you can maximise the movement capability of your joint.

All surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease and oil. Best if used between 10°C and 32.2°C. Clear Grip® should only be used in a well ventilated area.
Apply adhesive to each surface to be bonded.
To maximize bond strength: Wait approximately two minutes for adhesive to partially dry before joining surfaces.
Press surfaces firmly together.
NOTE: Bond forms immediately and can be difficult to reposition.
Cure Time
Allow for a minimum of 24 hours for full cure. Cure time may increase with lower temperatures and when used on non-porous surfaces.
Storage Tips
After each use, wipe nozzle with a dry cloth and tightly replace cap. Store in a cool, dry location. Tip: For easier re-opening, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to the threads before replacing cap. Store away from children and animals.
Clean-up

Dunlop Primer & Additive is a water-based multipurpose solution that improves the bond between porous substrates and adhesives, waterproofing membranes, or screeds. It can be used as a primer before tiling or as an additive to strengthen screeds and grouts.
Surface Preparation:
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, wax, paint, or other contaminants. For new concrete or screeds, allow to cure completely. Fill cracks and voids using a patching compound.
Application Instructions:
As a primer, dilute 1 part Dunlop Primer & Additive with 3 parts water. Apply evenly using a brush or roller. Allow it to dry for at least 30 minutes before applying adhesives or membranes.
As an additive, replace part or all of the mixing water in tile adhesives or grouts to improve flexibility and adhesion. Follow the manufacturer's recommended ratios.
Coverage:
Approximately 6–10m² per litre, depending on surface porosity.
Drying Time:
Allow to dry for at least 30 minutes before overcoating. Drying may vary depending on temperature and humidity.

It seals and bonds expansion and construction joints in both vertical and horizontal applications, staying highly flexible once cured so it can absorb the natural movement of a building without cracking or pulling away. This 600ml grey sausage pack suits a standard sausage gun and is ideal for larger trade and DIY jobs.

Where to use it
Bonds and seals most building materials including concrete, brick, masonry, ceramic tile, metals, softwood, hardwood and some plastics. Suitable for indoor and outdoor sealing of expansion and construction joints, around window and door frames, and general weatherproofing.
How to use
Prepare joints so they are clean, dry and free from oil, dust and curing agents. Use a backing rod for deeper joints.
Cut the nozzle, load the sausage into a suitable gun and extrude the sealant, ensuring full contact with both joint sides and avoiding air entrapment.
Tool and smooth off with a spatula.
Once fully cured, paint if required using water-based paint. For solvent-based paints, undercoat with a water-based primer first.
Important notes
Applies and cures best at moderate temperatures (around 20°C), especially in cold weather.
Will not adhere to PE, PP or PTFE; test other plastics and rubber before use.
Not recommended for continuous submersion or below-water-line use.
Not ideal over old or incompatible sealants, which may affect cure.

The embedded fibres and flexible polymers allow the render to tolerate the minor movement common to sheeted and composite walls, dramatically reducing the risk of surface cracking. It can be applied by standard trowelling methods or by spray, and a variety of decorative finishes can be achieved depending on how it is floated or sponged.Where to use itSuitable for indoor and outdoor use over an unusually wide range of substrates: FC sheet and blueboard, concrete and blockwork, sound painted surfaces (alkali stable and water resistant), existing render, AAC panels and blocks, and EPS foam panels. Dunlop Timber Joint Sealant is a flexible sealant developed specifically for wall and floor joints around timber substrates such as laminate, parquet and solid wooden floorboards. It fills expansion gaps, skirting junctions and threshold joints in a timber-toned finish, stopping water and debris from working their way into the joint while still allowing the natural movement of the floor. Once cured it can be sanded and painted over, making it easy to blend into the surrounding surface, and it is available in two distinctive wood-look colours: Beech and Silver Grey Oak.Where to use itUse it on wall and floor joints where timber, laminate or parquet meets another surface — around floor perimeters, stair nosings, skirtings and door thresholds — indoors and outdoors. How to use
Prep Clean and dry the area. For underwater patches, wipe away algae or loose debris.
Measure Cut a piece that extends past the damage by at least 25 mm on all sides.
Apply Peel the liner and place tape over the damage. Start from the centre and work outwards.
Seal Press down hard, removing air bubbles. Use a roller or rounded tool for maximum contact.
Cure Initial grab is immediate. Full bond strength improves over 24 hours.
Tips for best results
Round the corners of the patch to reduce lifting
For high pressure leaks, apply a larger patch or multiple layers
Do not apply over active flowing water without reducing the flow first

Directions Remove any dirt or moisture between the rubber and glass, or rubber and metal. Clean with mineral turpentine and allow to dry. Remove cap, unscrew nozzle, pierce inner seal, refit nozzle, then cut the tip at a 45 degree angle. Insert the nozzle between the rubber and glass or rubber and metal where possible. Squeeze the tube with steady pressure to push sealant into the joint. Smooth off with a gloved finger. If additional smoothing is needed, do it before the sealant skins. Clean up uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Cured material must be cut or scraped away. Replace the cap after use. Allow sealant in the nozzle to cure, then remove before next use. Handy tips For neat lines, mask both sides of the joint and remove tape before the sealant skins. Best results occur when the joint is clean, dry and free of loose material. Limitations Not recommended on natural rubber, NBR or chloroprene neoprene due to poor adhesion. Clean up and storage Clean uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry, free of dust, oil, grease, salt, mould, release agents and any contaminants that may affect adhesion. Mask adjacent areas to keep lines neat. Follow sheet fixing instructions from the board manufacturer.
How to apply
Cut the nozzle at a sharp angle slightly wider than the desired bead or joint width.
Use a suitable backing rod where required to control depth. Aim for a joint depth equal to half the joint width.
Gun the sealant into the joint and tool within 10 minutes using a round spatula to ensure full contact with the joint sides.
Curing times increase in cold or humid conditions.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves, clothing and eye protection. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to the product SDS for full safety guidance.
