Selleys No More Gaps Exterior is a specially formulated flexible gap filler, with superior weather, UV and mould resistance to protect against harsh external elements such as rain, wind and UV rays. It can be painted over with both water and oil based paints, so you can give your house the professional finish it deserves. Also available in easy tube format. Has good resistance to weathering Contains a titanium compound for superior UV resistance. Contains a fungicide and algaecide to protect against unsightly mould and algae growth. Can be painted over with both water and oil based paints, after the surface has skinned. (Approximately 30 minutes after application).. Wide joints are best left for 48 hours before painting as some paints shrink during drying that can cause the paint to crack. Is formulated for long term resistance to cracking and crumbling. Is water based, so can be cleaned up with water. Will not stain building materials. Where can this product be used? Between exterior window and door frames Fascia boards and eaves Masonry Walls Tiling Timber & synthetic weatherboards Brickwork Fences Where shrinkage or movement has caused rigid fillers to crack Gaps with a maximum width of 25mm & depth of 12mm What materials is this product suitable for? Timber Brick & Concrete Fibre cement sheeting, plasterboard Masonry Ceramic Tiles Glass Aluminium & other metals Many other building surfaces How To Use Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, flaking/powdery paint and old or crumbling caulk. Cut seal and nozzle and fit to cartridge. Insert into a quality caulking gun such as Selleys Light Speed caulking gun. Apply with caulking gun, forcing product into gap. Smooth with a wet spatula, ensuring sufficient product remains in joint. Clean up with a damp cloth immediately. Allow to skin (about 30 minutes) before painting with water-based paints. If oil-based paints are to be used, or if gaps are large, allow sealant to set for about 24 hours and ensure the product is completely cured. Protect from water until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Limitations: For new weatherboard, check weatherboard manufacturers instructions before using this product Note that in very harsh conditions, joints between boards may expand beyond products movement capability. In such cases re-apply product and paint over. Not suitable for areas of continuous water immersion eg ponds Not suitable for application at below 5°C Protect from rain until the product has firmly skinned, and allow longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Handy Tips Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of gap filler. If you are going to wipe off the excess gap filler with a wet finger, ensure you wet your finger with water and not saliva, as saliva contains bacteria and this will increase the chances of mould growing in your gap filler. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats and flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect, allow the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. For maximum durability on bare exterior surfaces, apply a coat of acrylic paint and allow to dry, before applying this gap sealant. Always paint over with a quality exterior paint. To ensure you get a professional finish ensure you paint with a good quality paint and paint brush. Painting with a good brush ensures the finish and durability of the paint is increased. We recommend a 50mm Edger Brush, as the cut angle of the bristles takes the work out of applying paint. Keep a pack of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.

Windows Glass aquariums Perfect for use on or around: Windows Windows Frames Glass Aquariums Repairs gaskets in dryers, ovens, refrigerators and washing machines. Repairs rips in awnings. Will not adhere to concrete, cement products, zinc or copper containing metals, marble, limestone or lead. Can not be painted over. Not suitable for use on oily woods such as cypress, teak or cedar. Not suitable for use on roofs and gutters as it will cause corrosion. Use SELLEYS Roof and Gutter Silicone. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Aluminium Stainless Steel Many plastics including polystyrene Most woods Rubber/ canvas Glazed ceramics & porcelain How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow drying completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see handy tip. Sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal. For aquariums, allow the product to fully cure for 7 days. Prior to usage, thoroughly wash out with water, drain and refill before introducing fish. Suitable for constructing and repairing small aquariums. The specialist design required for large tanks. Contact SELLEYS if unsure. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as product releases acetic acid while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of the product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

A solvent-based, heat resistant, flexible contact adhesive suitable for bonding both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. It forms an instant bond on contact of two surfaces. The gel form allows application without dripping or ‘stringing’. Great for vertical surfaces. Features Heat resistance up to 130C No clamping required Suitable for interior and exterior jobs Cured adhesive is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis Immediate set on contact. Maximum strength after 24 hours Gel Grip has a thicker consistency than Kwik Grip and so is ideal for vertical applications as it won’t run Gel form prevents running or stringing Easy to spread by brush and ideal for use on vertical surfaces Where can this product be used? Vertical surfaces where dripping and running is a concern Bonding veneers of timber and laminated plastics, eg. Laminex and Formica to bench or table tops Areas where clamping or pressing facilities are either not available or difficult to use Patching vinyl Flooring Replacing a vinyl tile Cork tiling Laying a vinyl floor Fixing laminate to tables, benchtops etc Repairing canvas tents and outdoor equipment Bonding metal or laminate sheeting Replacing trim, rubbers and weather seals in cars Adhering flexible or other material to Aluminium Joining, repairing holes in tents, car covers etc Some plastics such as vinyl sheeting and polystyrene are attacked by Gel Grip. Test in an inconspicuous area prior to application. Can cause discolouration and bubbling when used for vinyl flooring materials, seek the advice of flooring material manufacturer before using Gel Grip. We recommend Kwik Grip Advanced for these applications Contains highly flammable solvent and care should be taken to ensure all fire precautions are observed. Cannot be used for application in temperatures below 10oC. Suitable for porous materials but not for rough, ill-fitting surfaces. (Consider the suitability of alternative products such as Liquid Nails for rough ill-fitting surfaces). What materials is this product suitable for? Cork Rubber Felt Canvas Leather Metals Timber Laminated plastics (laminex, formica) Hardboard Compressed board How to use this product Ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from grease or paint. Cut laminated plastic sheet slightly oversize all round. Completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep apart until touch dry – no more than 40 minutes. Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart with dowels or heavy craft paper and working from one edge press surfaces firmly together. Secure bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or else by hammering the surface from the centre outwards using a padded block. For bonding other materials, apply as for laminated plastics above. When small surface areas are to be joined a wet bond may be used. Simply apply Gel Grip to one surface then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy tips Care should be taken to test plastics prior to use as solvents present will attack some grades such as polystyrene and sheet vinyl. Use Kwik Grip Advanced for these applications. Keep container sealed when not in use. Coverage – up to 5 square metres/litre (bonded area 2.5 square metres/litre) depending on porosity of surfaces and thickness of applications For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Clean Up While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Cured adhesive is very difficult to remove. Tools and other equipment on which Gel Grip has dried may be cleaned by soaking in Toluol or lacquer thinner. Excess adhesive on the face of the jointed materials may also be removed with solvent, but care should be taken that the materials themselves are not damaged by the solvent. Safety tips Ensure thorough ventilation when using. Avoid using in a confined space for prolonged periods. Use Kwik Grip Advanced as a low fume alternative. Avoid skin contact as solvents in Gel Grip have a degreasing effect and may result in irritation. If in eyes flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Seek medical advice. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126 or New Zealand 0800 764 766. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. Highly flammable. Do not use in the same area as flame, fire or spark producing apparatus or machinery. This product should NOT be accessible to juveniles, because of its solvent content. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use Clean Up While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Fast setting supa glue that dries colourless and sets in 10 seconds. Features Bonds a variety of surfaces Quick setting – only takes 10 seconds Dries clear, therefore no mess No mixing required No clamping necessary Heat resistant: approx 80C maximum Non toxic when set Water resistant Application range: -55°C to +80°C Where can this product be used? Ideal for small repair jobs or when immediate results are required Supa Glue will bond non-porous surfaces Supa Glue is water resistant not water proof, so do not use in areas continually exposed to moisture as it will weaken the bond. Supa Glue is generally not flexible and has low impact resistance. ie will probably shatter if dropped. For these applications use SELLEYS Quick Fix Shock Proof or SELLEYS Urethane Bond. Supa Glue’s bond strength is excellent where surfaces to be bonded are a good close fit. Where gap filling is required use SELLEYS URETHANE BOND or ARALDITE or for very minor gap filling you can use SELLEYS Quick Fix Gel. Supa Glue is not recommended for use on paper. Not suitable for bonding plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon?. Supa Glue will not permanently bond glass or materials containing alkaline elements. What materials is this product suitable for? Rubber Some plastics Wood Metals How to use this product The seal at the end of the metal tube should be pierced carefully with the reverse end of the cap. Ensure that the tube is not squeezed while the seal is being pierced. Replace plastic nozzle. Surfaces to be bonded should fit exactly and should be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt and grease. Apply a drop of Supa Glue to only one of the surfaces to be joined. Use sparingly. Do NOT spread. (Note: One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm)KEEP FINGERS AWAY FROM EXCESS ADHESIVE SO THEY WILL NOT STICK TOGETHER. Quickly align both surfaces and apply slight pressure to ensure effective spreading and bond. Should you fail to align the surfaces correctly, do not attempt to re-align them and bond together again. Keep apart and completely clean the surfaces (with acetone or nail polish remover). When dry, re-apply adhesive, re-align and bond again. (Please Note: NOT ALL Nail Polish Removers are ACETONE.) Although the adhesive will grab after several minutes to provide sufficient bond strength for practical use, maximum bond strength is achieved after 12 hours. Wipe tip of tube and replace cap. Handy tips Once open, Supa Glue has a limited shelf life (i.e. up to 1 year provided the tip is wiped clean and the cap replaced securely after each use). Supa Glue vapour can produce a whitening effect in enclosed spaces. To avoid this use in well ventilated areas. The whitening effect can be removed by wiping with acetone (first check that the acetone will not damage the surface). To remove from materials, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Note: This method should only be used for substrates NOT adversely affected by exposure to solvents. Check a small area before use. Storing in a refrigerator can reduce the risk of hardening in the tube. Also leaving a pin stuck in the (cleaned) nozzle during storage can reduce the risk of the nozzle becoming clogged with cured adhesive which is difficult to clear. One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm Supa glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. Since Supa Glue cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. Safety tips Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing its vapour. Supa Glue bonds on contact. Should fingers stick together, apply a solvent such as acetone to contact areas, then wash skin with water. Do NOT use solvents in contact with eyes or open wounds. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with water and seek medical attention. When removing Supa Glue from the skin, it is recommended that the skin be soaked in warm to hot water to allow easy removal. It is not advisable to try to remove the cured adhesive by pulling and scraping the skin as this will only serve to damage the skin. If poisoning occurs, seek medical attention. Cured material is considered to be non-hazardous. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. Do not squeeze tube before removing cap. Handle tube by plastic nozzle neck when opening and closing cap. This prevents pressurizing tube which may force material into cap, preventing a tight seal after use. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Liquid Nails Fast would typically be used for the following applications: Areas where nailing is not desirable Skirting boards, architraves, cornices Wall panelling to masonry Styrene foam to metal roofing Technical Features Fast grab – high initial holding minimises slippage when adhering on vertical surfaces Meets or exceeds AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards) Does not drip, sag or string between panels Bridges gaps and will adhere materials with uneven surfaces Low mess – excess and squeeze out is easily cleaned up with wet cloth No solvent fumes – ideal for large indoor jobs High flexibility – will withstand thermal movement and vibration High heat resistance – will not lose bonds exposed to sun Paintable when dry Easy to extrude at all temperatures Application Tips Liquid Nails Fast should always be used in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except in low stress applications such as wall panelling and fixing light weight objects. (Bonds may creep under constant heavy loads.) Bonds are not water resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials drying time is greatly extended Thick applications take longer to dry than thin applications Pre-test plastics to determine suitable bonding. Adheres well to UPVC. Not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. For wood flooring applications Liquid Nails (solvent based) is recommended. [Liquid Nails Fast is satisfactory for fixing sheet flooring (particleboard/ply) to joists in conjunction with the manufacturer’s minimum nailing specification but is not recommended for fixing sheet wood flooring to flat surfaces such as existing or concrete floors. Technical Details and Performance For porous substrates good bond strength is achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over 2-3 day period. Time for strong bond depends on nature and conditions of application. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials, drying time is greatly extended. Indicative information only, not to be used for setting specifications. Appearance Lump free, air-free smooth beige paste Specific Gravity Approx. 1.44g/mL @ 25oC Viscosity Typical 7000 – 9000 Poise Slump Typical: 0mm Shear Adhesion Strength (7 days) (AS2329) Greater than 1500kPa (Hoop pine substrate) Peel Adhesion Strength (7 days cure) Typical 40N/25mm (wire gauze off hoop pine.(Variant to AS2329)) Initial Bond Strength AS2329-1999D (Tested after 24 hrs) Over 200kPa Heat Resistance Bonds will resist temporary exposure to temperatures up to 140oC. Constant high temperatures will reduce constant load holding power (see below). Creep resistance (under constant load)*2 Fully cured *1 bonds of 625 sq. mm will hold up to 500g loads (7.8kPa) in shear at constant 80oC Fully cured *1 bonds of 625 sq.mm will hold up to 100kPa in shear at 25oC (equivalent to 6Kg load on 625 sq.mm bond area) Coverage 15 metres of a 5mm diameter bead 1mm thick bonds on porous substrates cured at least 7 days at temps above 25oC This data is provided as indicative only. Not to be used for design purposes. Thick bonds reduce constant load holding power and increase curing time. Larger bond areas increase curing time. Cleaning Liquid Nails Fast may be cleaned off with hot soapy water or a damp cloth while still wet. Dry adhesive is best removed by scraping or peeling.

A two-part epoxy adhesive that bonds with maximum strength. Mixed product gels in 2 hours. Initial bonding is achieved in 6-8 hours with maximum bond strength after 3 days. Features Araldite is stronger than other glues due to the chemical reaction of the two parts Bonds a variety of surfaces Dries Clear Very Strong, durable bonding Very high water resistance (e.g. OK for fixing tiles around the pool, but not below the water line. For this use Selleys Knead it Aqua) Forms a rigid, durable bond Can be used for gap filling (surfaces need not mate closely) Good chemical resistance Heat Resistant Clamping is recommended to achieve a stronger bond Not suitable for bonding plastics such as Polypropylene and Polyethylene Bond strength weakens above 80°C but strength is regained when temperature drops Appearance Translucent Where can this product be used? Load bearing repairs Gluing the head back on your hammer Fixing a loose table or chair legs. Bonding solid pieces of Aluminium sheeting Bonding timber on your boat Repairing splits and cracks in Cricket bats Bonding fibreglass sheets Repairing Ski’s Fixing Dynabolts and metal rods into concrete What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Metal Wood Fabric Rigid Plastic – will not bond to Polyethylene or Polypropylene plastics Crystal Leather How to use this product Before applying the Araldite mixture, all surfaces MUST be thoroughly clean and dry. All traces of grease, rust paint, etc. should be removed. For best results, smooth surfaces should be roughened by mechanical abrasion after solvent cleaning. Onto a clean, disposable surface (e.g. polyethylene or cardboard), dispense equal volumes of Part A and Part B. Thoroughly mix together with a spatula, nail or stick. When using the tubes it is essential to use the correct mixing ratio, i.e. 1 part each Apply adhesive immediately to both surfaces and press together. Clamping is necessary while bonding sets over 6-8 hours. Scrape off excess adhesive and wipe mixing utensils immediately. When using tubes, Ensure correct caps are replaced on each tube or they will harden Handy tips For a maximum working time, mix in small quantities. Large quantities accelerate the curing process and reduce working time. To extend product life replace caps immediately after use. Ensure you wipe excess from the nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (or nail polish remover) before replacing the cap. When using the tube variant, ensure you replace the correct cap on the correct tube. Placing the wrong cap on the wrong tube will cause the tube to harden. (lids and tubes are colour coded to help) Wipe off any uncured Araldite with acetone or nail polish remover. To remove product after cure, mechanical action (scraping or sanding) is recommended. Since the product is chemically resistant solvent will NOT dissolve this product. To reposition the bond once cured, check that the item is heat resistant. If safe, heat the item slowly, e.g. in an oven, to at least 150oC. The product will soften and liquefy slightly. Scrape off any excess then reposition the joint carefully using appropriate safety equipment. Allow the item to cool down in the correct position. The product will reharden once returned to room temperature. Clamping recommended for a stronger bond. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using Selleys Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with Methylated Spirits. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as Selleys Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Safety tips Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapour. Do not use solvents near eyes or open wounds. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Non-toxic when set. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Storage and re-use Ensure caps are replaced and product stored in a cool dry place.

Ultra-High strength supa glue that dries clear. Gives great strength as well as flexibility and heat resistance. Performance above and beyond normal Supa Glue. Features Bonds a variety of surfaces Extremely fast setting Dries Clear for clean, neat results Water resistant No clamping necessary No mixing required Maximum strength achieved in 12 hours Only takes 45 seconds to achieve an initial bond Self-piercing, clog-free cap Forms a strong, flexible bond Impact Resistant – 4 times greater impact resistance than normal supa glues Superior bond on metals – up to 6 times stronger bond on steel than normal supa glue. Up to 4 times stronger bond on aluminium than normal supa glues Heat Resistant to 120°C permanently, 150°C intermittently Comes with a nozzle for easy, accurate application Appearance Clear thick liquid dries to a colourless film. Where can this product be used? Ideal for small repair jobs or when immediate results are required Fixing a broken door knocker Refixing wooden or metal door handles Repairing crockery safe to put in the dishwasher Water resistant not waterproof, therefore not suitable for surfaces that will be continually wet Not suitable for bonding plastics such as Polypropylene and Polyethylene Not suitable for repairing items that are in direct contact with hot liquids eg saucepans Will not permanently bond glass or other materials containing alkaline elements Not recommended for highly porous surfaces What materials is this product suitable for? Bonds a variety of porous and non-porous surfaces Metals Wood China Rubber Leather (test first as leather may become hardened or discoloured) Some plastics How to use this product Supa Glue works best when the surfaces to be bonded are close fitting. Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free of dust. Refer to handy hints for cleaning tips. Pierce seal at end of the tube by attaching nozzle and cap and turning clockwise. Remove cap and apply a small amount of glue to one surface. Bring surfaces together and apply slight pressure. Allow 12 hours for sufficient bond strength for practical use. Handy tips Supa Glue can create a white residue on the surface of materials if the area is not well ventilated. Clean the affected area with acetone to remove (most nail polish removers) residue. Excellent when used with other adhesives, as the temporary tack. For best results, ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, free of dust, dry and close fitting. After use, wipe excess product from the nozzle with a tissue dipped in nail polish remover. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In the event that fingers get stuck together – don’t panic! Slowly twist fingers in the opposite direction in hot soapy water. Acetone (most nail polish removers) or Olive oil can also be used to remove Quick Fix from the skin. While supa glue is not recommended for use on some plastics, if your kids have broken their favourite toy, try this method: Line up the two pieces, glue it, leave it for 24 hours to dry, then drop more glue on the break area like a ‘collar’/protective layer. Since Quick Fix cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. Supa glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. To remove excess from materials, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Where soaking is not possible, try placing a piece of absorbant material (eg cotton wool) soaked in acetone on the excess for 5 to 10 minutes, topping up the acetone if it evaporates. Gently rub the surface with the material to remove the residues. TEST THE SURFACE IN AN INCONSPICUOUS SPOT to ensure it is unaffected by acetone before attempting removal using this method. Do not squeeze tube before removing the cap. Handle tube by plastic nozzle neck when opening and closing cap. This prevents pressurizing tube which may force material into the cap, preventing a tight seal after use. Safety tips Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapour. Quick Fix is non-hazardous once cured. Where Quick Fix residues are on the skin, it is recommended that the skin is soaked in warm to hot water to allow easy removal. It is not advisable to try to remove the cured adhesive by pulling and scraping the skin as this will only serve to damage the skin. Alternatively, rub in hand cream or vegetable oil to accelerate the natural process of the skin sloughing off to remove the residue. Where immediate adhesive removal is considered necessary to apply a solvent such as acetone (nail polish remover) then wash off with soapy water. Apply hand cream to replace naturals oils in the skin. Do not use near eyes or open wounds. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Non toxic when set. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use After use, wipe excess product from nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (found in some nail polish removers). Wait for a few seconds and check that no further glue is extruding before replacing cap tightly. Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Mould affected areas should be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable mould remover, rinsed and allowed to dry. • Using the attached filling blade press filler in firmly and remove excess. • Allow drying (2-3 hours in thin 2-3mm applications depending on humidity), before sanding. • For deeper jobs apply in 10mm layers, allowing each layer to set, before applying the next layer. Allow longer drying times (24 hours minimum) if painting with oil-based paints or for deeper applications. • Finish off sanding with a fine sandpaper (>300 grit) for a smoother finish. • For best results, apply paint undercoat before applying paint topcoat suitable for bathrooms and kitchens, to maximise water, moisture and mould resistance. • Not for areas that will be immersed in water. • Use a flexible Poly sealant where joint movement occurs. • Clean up with water before filler dries. FAQ's Q. Should I use a different filler in damp areas? A. Yes. Polyfilla Bathroom & Kitchen has been specially formulated to resist water, moisture and mould growth making it perfect for use in damp areas of the home. HOW TO PREPARE A BATHROOM OR KITCHEN FOR PAINTING The key to achieving a flawless paint finish is preparation. A fresh coat of paint can often accentuate imperfections on plaster walls so it's important that small cracks, dents and chips are properly filled and sanded to create a smooth, even surface for a picture-perfect finish. In areas affected by moisture such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundries we recommend using products specially designed to resist mould growth.    Before starting on your walls, it's a good idea to clear your bathroom or kitchen of accessories and appliances. Use good quality drop sheets to avoid getting paint and dust on benchtops, sinks and floor surfaces.  You'll need: Poly Sugar Soap Polyfilla Bathroom & Kitchen A flexible filling blade  Fine sandpaper A soft brush Painters tape Ensure your walls have no remaining nails, pins, etc. With fine sandpaper, remove lumps, bumps and any paint flakes. Brush off excess dust and then wash down the walls thoroughly with Poly Sugar Soap to remove mould, grease and grime. Let the sugar soap dry completely before filling.  Apply a small amount of Polyfilla Bathroom & Kitchen to your filling blade and draw it across each imperfection on the wall. For larger areas, a trowel should be used. Using the filling blade, remove excess and skim the filled areas lightly in both directions a few times to ensure a no air bubbles are present in the filled space. Feathering the edges will also minimise sanding. Finish by drawing down with firm pressure.  Wait until the application has dried (2-3 hours for thin 2-3mm applications depending on humidity), then lightly sand the filled areas to an even finish. Remove dust with a soft brush. Allow longer drying times for deeper applications or if painting with oil-based paints (24 hours minimum). There is no need to use water or sugar soap to clean dry filled surfaces prior to painting. For deeper jobs, apply in 10mm layers allowing each layer to set before applying the next layer.    Taping Invest in a good painterís tape and carefully tape off any skirting, architraves, woodwork, etc. As you apply it, gently rub across the edge of the tape that will be painted to help prevent any paint from seeping underneath Now you've created a smooth, blemish-free surface, youíre ready to paint and achieve a perfect finish! For best results, apply paint undercoat before applying your top coat.
