SikaBond is a high strength contact adhesive that will not slump on vertical surfaces. It can be used as a one way liquid adhesive, or a two way contact adhesive, on a variety of surfaces. Uses SikaBond can be used on most substrates due to its excellent adhesion. These include: Floor and wall panels. Wood, plasterboard and chipboard. Aluminium, iron and steel. Concrete, cement sheeting and masonry. Advantages One component ready to use. Fast drying time. Easy to use. High adhesion strength. Non-slump. Storage and Shelf Life Stored in the original sealed packaging at temperatures of between 5ºC and 35ºC, this material will keep for at least twelve (12) months. Instructions for Use Surface Preparation All surfaces must be clean, sound, dry and free of oil, grease and surface contamination. Thoroughly remove all loose particles and dust. Any loose flaking must be removed and light sanding is recommended. Application One Way Method: This method is recommended for heavier panels or where load or stress is expected. Apply a 4 to 6mm bead of SikaBond using a cartridge gun, making sure the beads are no more than 45cm apart. Bring both substrates immediately together and clamp, nail or screw for a minimum of 24 hours. For butt joints use adhesive on both panel edges. Two Way Method: Apply adhesive as in one way method, bring together substrates, and press firmly over entire surface to transfer adhesive. Then pull apart. Allow adhesive to tack off for 3 to 5 minutes depending on weather conditions, reposition the objects and press together firmly. The surfaces should be tapped together with a hammer and a padded block to ensure maximum contact. Maximum bond strength will be achieved in 12 to 72 hours, depending on substrates and weather. Heavy panels may require temporary mechanical fastening until maximum strength is achieved.

If safe, heat the item slowly, e.g. in an oven, to at least 150oC. The product will soften and liquify slightly. Scrape off any excess then reposition the joint carefully using appropriate safety equipment. Allow the item to cool down in the correct position. The product will reharden once returned to room temperature. (“zig-zag” beads are more appropriate on surfaces of moderate width) Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area. Wet bonds are re-positionable for up to 20 mins after fitting Allow adhesives to set (at least 24 – 48 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. Designed for sealing windscreens in cars, boats, trucks, and buses, and for metal lap joints in white goods, caravans, bus and truck bodies. Features Forms a surface skin, preventing transfer by touch and dirt pick-up on exposed surfaces Paintable with most alkyd and water-based paints (after the skin has formed). Bring surfaces together squeezing the mastic bead out on both surfaces and mechanically fix join where necessary. If sealing open joints, apply D-Mastic forcing it into the joint ahead of the nozzle. This method aids in properly filling the joint and forcing mastic to wet on to the sides of the joint. If required, smooth surface with spatula dipped into mineral turps or kerosene. Limitations: Not an elastomeric compound, it should not be used in joints subject to considerable dynamic movement. Maximum service is achieved when used within joints; it is not recommended to be used as a"skim" coating over joints. Not recommended for use in joints required to resist static air or water pressure. If sealing lap joints, apply suitable size bead of D-Mastic to one surface through the intended fasten line. It is widely used in the repair of toys, leather goods, furniture, upholstery, jewellery and in the handicraft making areas. This is an excellent product where quick bonding and a clear bond line is required especially in the DIY market. Instructions Surface Preparation Surfaces to be bonded must be dry, clean and free of grease. If surfaces are non-porous, smooth and glossy, roughen with glass paper (preferably) or apply solvent suck as Acetone As a two way dry stick: Apply an even film onto both substrates, leave 5-10 minutes then join together with as much as possible taking care not to trap any air. As a one way wet stick: Usually, this technique is employed when either one or both of substrates to be bonded are porous (e.g. fabrics, cardboard). Clean Up Any wet or partially wet adhesive can be removed with scraping and Bostik Solvent 9901. The dried adhesive is best removed with a scraper or by sanding. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE A minimum of 12 months in original sealed packaging if stored under cover away from heat.

It is specifically formulated to provide an extra-strong and flexible bond on contact. It resists heat and water. It also provides excellent adhesion to most natural and neoprene rubbers as well as a wide variety of porous and non-porous surfaces. It may be easily applied by brush or scraper giving a secure and lasting bond making it clean and economical to use. Bostik Contact Bond is primarily used in the furniture and allied industries for fixing plastic laminates and rigid or flexible decorative surface coverings to wood, MDF, particle board, plywood, leather, felt, cotton back PVC and metal. SURFACE PREPARATION Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry and free from all loose paint, dust, grease, oil and foreign materials. APPLICATION Tube (Blister Pack) Application 1. Unscrew cap and pierce and of the tube with the reverse end of the cap 2. Apply thin, even film to both surfaces to be glued 3. Leave until touch dry (approximately 5 to 15 minutes), then bring both surfaces together accurately 4. Take care to avoid the formation of air bubbles between surfaces 5. To ensure maximum adhesion, clamp or weigh down the entire surface or apply firm hand pressure evenly 6. Replace screw cap to keep the contents of tube airtight CLEANING To clean up tools, equipment and adhesive spills use Mineral Turpentine. Use Bostik Handy Wipe towels to remove adhesive from the skin. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE Store in a cool dry place between 5°C and 30°C and out of direct sunlight. Keep away from sources of ignition. Betta Tilecare Wet Area Waterproofer is a flexible, fast-drying, liquid rubber membrane designed for waterproofing internal wet areas such as bathrooms, showers, laundries, and tiled spaces. It provides a durable, seamless moisture barrier that resists water pressure and prevents leaks when applied beneath tiles, screeds, or surface coatings. Surface Preparation: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove dust, oil, grease, wax, and loose or flaking material. Smooth, glossy surfaces should be roughened or etched. Rough or uneven surfaces should be patched and leveled. Mechanically remove any surface contamination or de-bonded coatings for optimal adhesion. Priming (if required): Use a compatible primer on highly porous, glossy, or damp surfaces to promote adhesion. Ensure primed surfaces are dry before applying the membrane. Application Instructions: Apply a bond breaker system such as joint tape or fabric to corners, joints, and penetrations. Apply the first coat using a brush or roller, working it into the surface to avoid pinholes. Allow the first coat to dry (approx. 1 hour), then apply the second coat in the opposite direction. Total coverage should be at least 1.5L/m², forming a final dried film thickness of approximately 1.2mm. Coverage should extend up walls at least 150mm in general areas and 1800mm in shower recesses. Allow the membrane to cure fully before tiling or overcoating. Coverage: Approximately 1.5L per square metre for two coats, depending on surface porosity. Drying Time: Tack-free: 45 minutes Recoat: 1 hour Ready for tiling: 4 hours Flood test ready: 16 hours Dry times may vary based on temperature and humidity.
