Use Knead-It Steel for applications on metal or fuel contact Store in a cool place for maximum shelf life For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Safety tips Where possible wear protective gloves when using Knead-It Aqua. Contact with skin may result in irritation. Epoxy resin is a known skin sensitiser. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to allergic contact dermatitis. If redness or swelling of skin occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention if in any doubt. Mixed and cured material is not hazardous. Cured material can only be removed by cutting and abrasion. If cured on skin, it will peel off in a few days without assistance. Soaking in warm water will assist removal. Storage and re-use Replace siliver disc to seal ends and keep in a cool dry place.

Step 2: Preparation Surfaces should be clean and free from grease and oil. For better adhesion, slightly roughen the surface with a wire brush or sandpaper prior to cleaning. Cut off desired length of Epoxy Putty and knead until uniform color is obtained. Putty turns from blue to white when completely mixed. Step 3: Application Apply the putty to surface to be repaired within 3 minutes of mixing. Work putty firmly into the crack or hole. For bonding, place the putty between the surfaces and apply firm pressure to ensure intimate contact with both surfaces. If applying to a wet surface, apply forcefully and hold in place until adhesion takes effect. For a smooth finish, rub the putty with a damp cloth prior to hardening. Working time is approximately 5 minutes. After 45 minutes, the putty can be sanded, drilled or painted. Step 4: Cleanup Cured putty may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade.

Loctite® Repair Putty Multi-Purpose is a two-part adhesive consisting of an epoxy resin putty and a hardener putty which are mixed by kneading. They react to produce a hard, tough, permanent and waterproof bond on a wide range of materials. Loctite® Repair Putty Multi-Purpose does not shrink and is resistant to most common solvents. It can bond to damp surfaces and cure under water. Loctite Epoxy Putty can be sanded, drilled and painted. Recommended For Bonding metal, masonry, brick, wood, glass, ceramic, rubber, fibreglass composite, china, stone, marble and many rigid plastics Use to seal pipes, fix leaks in tanks and drains, repair appliances, tools, furniture, toys, automotive parts, pools and cracks in concrete Not Recommended For Potable water systems. Applications above 121°C (250°F). Polyethylene and polypropylene. Structural applications. Safety Precautions Wear gloves. Preparation Surfaces should be clean and free from grease and oil. For better adhesion, slightly roughen the surface with a wire brush or sandpaper prior to cleaning. Cut off desired length of Epoxy Putty and knead until uniform color is obtained. Putty turns from blue to white when completely mixed. Application Apply the putty to surface to be repaired within 3 minutes of mixing. Cleanup Cured putty may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade.

Sold Out  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Thread Sealant - medium strength. For fine threads in hydraulic, pneumatic and general fittings. Fast curing. LOCTITE® 542 is designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and fittings as well as other cylindrical metal assemblies. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 542 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the part. Ideal for fine threads as used in hydraulic, pneumatic & general fittings Suitable for metal threads only Instant low-pressure seal Resistant to fuel, oil, coolants and hydraulic fluids Locks connection against vibration loosening PRODUCT DESCRIPTION LOCTITE® 542 provides the following product characteristics: Technology Acrylic Chemical Type Dimethacrylate ester Appearance (uncured) Brown liquidLMS Components One component - requires no mixing Viscosity Low Cure Anaerobic Secondary Cure Activator Application Thread sealing Strength Medium Directions for use: For Assembly 1. For best results, clean all surfaces (external and internal) with a LOCTITE® cleaning solvent and allow to dry. 2. If the material is an inactive metal or the cure speed is too slow, spray all threads with and allow to dry. 3. Apply a 360° bead of product to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free. Force the material into the threads to thoroughly fill the voids. For bigger threads and voids, adjust product amount accordingly and apply a 360° bead of product on the female threads also. 4. Using compliant practices, assemble and wrench tighten fittings in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. 5. Properly tightened fittings will seal instantly to moderate pressures. For maximum pressure resistance and solvent resistance allow the product to cure a minimum of 24 hours. For Disassembly 1. Remove with standard hand tools. 2. Where hand tools do not work because of excessive engagement length or large diameters (over 1"), apply localized heat to approximately 250 °C. Disassemble while hot. For Cleanup 1. Cured product can be removed with a combination of soaking in a Loctite solvent and mechanical abrasion such as a wire brush.
