  Selleys Glass Silicone is an acetic acid curing 100% silicone, which has excellent adhesion to glass and has been specially formulated for glazing and aquarium construction. Features The acetic curing formulation results in superior adhesion on glass and glazing surfaces. Superior silicone formulation forms a durable seal and which does not shrink when drying. UV and weather resistant remaining flexible, not shrinking, crumbling, cracking or drying out. Temperature resistance – approximately -60°C +150°C Superior flexibility +/- 25% movement capability & up to 400% elongation or stretch. 25-year guarantee – when used as directed, i.e. for private use and within 12 months of purchase, the product is guaranteed against crumbling, cracking or drying. Glass Aluminium Stainless Steel Many plastics including polystyrene Most woods Rubber/ canvas Glazed ceramics & porcelain How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow drying completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see handy tip. Sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal. For aquariums, allow the product to fully cure for 7 days. Prior to usage, thoroughly wash out with water, drain and refill before introducing fish. Suitable for constructing and repairing small aquariums. The specialist design required for large tanks. Contact SELLEYS if unsure. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as product releases acetic acid while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of the product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

  Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. UsesLiquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It is ideal where a fine finish is important. Shake bottle before use Apply adhesive liberally to one surface only, position surfaces and press together while still wet. Immediately clamp for 30 minutes for softwoods and 1 hour for hardwoods. Alternatively, low clamping pressures (50lbs/in2) can be used with softwoods; higher pressures are recommended for hardwoods (100 – 150lbs/in2). Do not stress joint for 12 hours. Wipe off excess adhesive while still wet with a damp cloth. If the wood is to be stained, any residual Aquadhere left on the timber surface may prevent the stain from taking to the wood. Maximum strength is achieved after 12 hours, but longer in cold, damp conditions, or when used on dense timbers. Cure slows significantly in humid, cold conditions. Clean all tools with water before the adhesive is allowed to dry. If dry, soak in water until adhesive is soft. Handy tips 1L covers approx. 8m2 To fill small gaps, Aquadhere can be mixed with sawdust. Longer clamping times may be required for joints under high stress, or alternatively use Selleys 308 High-Stress Wood Glue. Avoid contaminating Aquadhere with iron and steel, eg nails, etc. Aquadhere contaminated with rust (iron oxide) will stain brown/black in the presence of tannins in many kinds of wood. On very porous surfaces applying a thin layer to each side and allowing to soaking in before applying a second layer to one side only may result in a stronger bond Cured adhesive can be softened by prolonged contact with hot water or steam. Sanding isn’t an effective way to prepare for gluing, as it often leaves an uneven surface and may clog the timber which can stop the glue from penetrating and impact on your result. A straight router can be used to trim the edge, but be sure to only remove as much as required to obtain a suitable edge for gluing. If you are gluing over a larger surface, try using a small roller to aid in application. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Safety tips Aquadhere is considered a non-hazardous material.   Selleys Plasti-Bond Heavy Duty is a two part polyester filler built for repairs that have to carry load, not simply look tidy. Once the hardener is stirred through, it firms up to a dense, rigid mass in about twenty minutes without the shrinking or cracking that catches out lightweight patching compounds, and it holds its shape well enough to be drilled, tapped and fixed into after curing. The 400g can covers the middle ground jobs that a small pack runs short on. What it is The pack contains an off white polyester putty base and a separate hardener that is mixed in immediately before use. Working time is short, around five minutes at normal room temperature, so the product is mixed in batches rather than all at once. Cured Plasti-Bond can be sawn, drilled, filed, sanded and painted, and the base can be tinted with cement oxides or paint tinters before the hardener goes in if a coloured finish is wanted. Where to use it Indoors: filling holes, cracks and splits in walls, ceilings, floors and doors; rebuilding worn areas around hinges, locks and door handles; making good chipped tiles and ceramics; anchoring bolts and fixtures into masonry; stopping countersunk fastener heads flush in almost any material. Outdoors: patching chipped concrete steps and paths, repairing galvanised guttering and downpipes, and restoring fibreglass, timber and metal on furniture, sporting gear, cars, caravans and boats above the water line. Outdoor repairs should be painted, since the cured filler can discolour if left bare in sunlight. How to use it Prepare the surface so it is clean, dry, unpainted and free of grease or oil. On steel or aluminium panel work that will see vibration, punch or drill the area first to give the filler a positive key. Stir the base thoroughly, then blend in the hardener, working the mix from side to side until the colour is completely uniform. Extra hardener speeds the set in cold weather; less hardener buys time across several separate fills. Apply with a putty knife or spatula, pressing firmly into the repair and slightly overfilling to leave material for sanding. Feather the edges as you go. Take off most of the excess with a Surform or file between roughly twenty and thirty minutes, while it is firm but not yet rock hard. Once fully hard, finish with ordinary files or sandpaper. Paint with water based or oil based paint. Clean tools with mineral turps before the product cures. Important notes Not suitable for continuous immersion or for joints that need to stay flexible. May not adhere to polyethylene, polypropylene or PTFE. Can discolour if left unpainted outdoors. Mix only what you can apply inside the working time; cured material cannot be re-softened. Replace the lid firmly after use and store the can in a cool place. Rather than simply scrubbing the surface, it coats the grout line to mask stains from mould growth, ingrained dirt, spilt makeup or hair-dye, leaving tiled areas looking fresh and bright again. It can also be used to recolour grey or other coloured grout to white. The formula contains a built-in fungicide that creates a protective barrier, making it harder for mould spores to take hold and for new stains to penetrate the grout, helping to break the mould cycle and keep grout looking cleaner for longer. It is supplied in a 280g tube fitted with a foam applicator tip for neat, controlled application straight onto the grout line. Where to use it Indoor: Tiled walls and floors in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Suitable for use on cement-based grout between ceramic and porcelain tiles. This is an interior-use product and is not intended for outdoor application. How to use Clean the tiled area and grout thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Wearing gloves, an apron and old clothing is recommended. Press the foam applicator firmly against the grout and apply even pressure to the tube while moving the applicator along the grout lines. Clean with mineral turpentine and allow to dry. Remove cap, unscrew nozzle, pierce inner seal, refit nozzle, then cut the tip at a 45 degree angle. Insert the nozzle between the rubber and glass or rubber and metal where possible. Squeeze the tube with steady pressure to push sealant into the joint. Smooth off with a gloved finger. If additional smoothing is needed, do it before the sealant skins. Clean up uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Cured material must be cut or scraped away. Replace the cap after use. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/Course Grain, as the silicone will adhere more readily to a scratched-up surface. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as the SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun. We recommend this caulking gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess from run-on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Surfaces to be bonded should be relatively smooth and/or close fitting. Both surfaces should be completely covered with adhesive and kept apart till “touch dry” – no more than 40 minutes. Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart. Remember once joined they cannot be repositioned. When edges are perfectly aligned, press surfaces firmly together. Handy tips Cyanoacrylate adhesives can create a white residue on the surface of a substrate if the area is not well ventilated. Clean the affected area with acetone to remove residue. Where can this product be used? -Replacing oven door seals -Replacing refrigerator door seals -Dishwasher door seals -Washing machines -Automotive gaskets and seals -Heating and air conditioners -Flanges of all kinds What materials is this product suitable for? -Metal* -Paint/coated surfaces -Glass -Fibreglass How to use this product -Clear surfaces with Selleys BBQ Tough Wipes or Oven Wipes and allow to dry. -Pierce tube seal, fit nozzle and cut to size. -For repair or replacement of oven door seal or oven door glass: Apply Seal Fix to repair or replace seal or glass. -Once the seal or oven glass is fixed in place the repair should be allowed to cure for 7 days before using the oven. -For repair or replacement of refrigerator door seal: Apply Seal Fix to door, bring surfaces together and close door. -Once the seal is glued in place the door needs to be held firmly closed with tape. -Due to the strong magnetic hold of the door seal to the refrigerator body, the repair must be allowed 24 hours to cure before opening the door or subjecting to any stress   For repair or replacement of gaskets: -Remove old gasket/seal material and thoroughly clean surfaces with mineral turpentine and dry. If adhesion of gasket is not required wipe mating surfaces with an oily cloth. -Pierce seal in the tube, fit nozzle and cut to size. Squeeze the bead of sealant onto one of the surfaces to be joined, around the perimeter of the part and around bolt holes. -Join parts together within 10 minutes and bolt down to the desired torque. If a thicker gasket is required assemble but do not tighten bolts for 24 hours. Material cures in 24 hours. (When disassembly is required, pry two flanges apart and remove old sealant before reassembly.) Clean Up -Uncured product may be removed with mineral turpentine. Cured product can be removed with Selleys Silicone Remover or by mechanical action. Handy tips -When eliminating cork gaskets, ensure that adequate clearance remains for mechanical parts e.g. valve rocker covers (do not fully tighten until sealant has cured) Limitations *Not for copper brass or galvanised metal surfaces **Not suitable for continuous exposure to temperatures above 205°C or intermittent (more than 2 hours) expose to temperatures above 260°C Not for exhaust manifold or for contact with gasoline or distillate Safety tips -Avoid contact with skin and eyes and breathing vapour -On contact, the uncured sealant can irritate eyes. It resists yellowing, staining or blackening, when used as a part of the Selleys White For Life™ Tiling System and as per pack directions*. How to Use Preparation For new tiling jobs, use Selleys White For Life Tiling Adhesives. Ensure that the tile adhesive has set (usually 24-48hrs). Remove spacers, rake out excessive, dust, debris etc from the joints. If re-grouting remove old grout and clean thoroughly with Selleys Rapid Mould Killer and allow to dry. Do not grout at temperatures below 10°C, or in damp conditions. Before grouting, check ease of removal from matt or textured tile surfaces. Seal porous tiles before grouting or removal of grout from tiles will be difficult. Application Cut seal, screw on nozzle, cut to size. Apply with a caulking gun, forcing grout into joints (for cartridge only). Grout small areas at a time. Work the grout into the joints and smooth off using a rubber squeegee or grout float, moving diagonally across the joints with several passes to compact the grout lines and minimise the amount left on the face of the tiles – avoid moving along the joint as this removes grout from the joint. Tip: hold float/squeegee at 45° angle; clean regularly. Clean up with water, before grout sets. Allow grout to firm up in joints for approx 20 min (longer in colder conditions). Using a damp (not wet) sponge, clean tile surfaces, by wiping lightly, in a circular motion. Finish with a single wipe diagonally across the tile with a clean damp ( not wet) sponge. Avoid repeated wiping as this may remove grout which is not yet fully set, from the joints. Buff and polish the tile surface, after 24hours, with a soft clean cloth. Use Selleys White For Life Grout Cleaner for any stubborn haze marks. overage 1 cartridge is sufficient for 2sqm of tiling (300mm x 30mm tiles; joint depth 5mm and width 3mm). 1.4kg is sufficient for 6sqm of tiling (300mm x 30mm tiles; joint depth 5mm and width 3mm). Limitations: Not for areas frequently immersed in water eg. Shower floors. Allow to dry for 3 days before exposing grout to water on shower walls. Handy tips If the grout is overworked or excessive water is used to smooth off, it may appear to shrink – simply apply a second coat to affected areas. *To maintain whiteness and long term stain & mould resistance: Allow grout to set for 3 days before sealing Selleys White For Life Sealer for maximum stain resistance. Reapply sealer annually or whenever grout has been scrubbed hard. Clean grout and tiles regularly with Selleys White For Life Tile & Grout Cleaner to avoid build up of soil or soap scrum.
