How to Use Preparation For new tiling jobs, use Selleys White For Life Tiling Adhesives. Ensure that the tile adhesive has set (usually 24-48hrs). Remove spacers, rake out excessive, dust, debris etc from the joints. If re-grouting remove old grout and clean thoroughly with Selleys Rapid Mould Killer and allow to dry. Do not grout at temperatures below 10°C, or in damp conditions. Before grouting, check ease of removal from matt or textured tile surfaces. Seal porous tiles before grouting or removal of grout from tiles will be difficult. Application Cut seal, screw on nozzle, cut to size. Apply with a caulking gun, forcing grout into joints (for cartridge only). Grout small areas at a time. Work the grout into the joints and smooth off using a rubber squeegee or grout float, moving diagonally across the joints with several passes to compact the grout lines and minimise the amount left on the face of the tiles – avoid moving along the joint as this removes grout from the joint. Tip: hold float/squeegee at 45° angle; clean regularly. Clean up with water, before grout sets. Allow grout to firm up in joints for approx 20 min (longer in colder conditions). Using a damp (not wet) sponge, clean tile surfaces, by wiping lightly, in a circular motion. Finish with a single wipe diagonally across the tile with a clean damp ( not wet) sponge. Avoid repeated wiping as this may remove grout which is not yet fully set, from the joints. Buff and polish the tile surface, after 24hours, with a soft clean cloth. Some water based under coats & flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. To improve the paint finish, wipe the sealant with detergent solution immediately before painting. Avoid smearing sealant on the surrounding surfaces as this may effects its paintability. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to air. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

It is especially suitable for application to damp, wet or underwater substrates. It comes in a handy roll form, with the white hardener encapsulated in the aqua green resin part. For best results roughen bond area prior to cleaning. Cut off required amount. Replace disc on the remaining portion. Wear gloves to avoid messing hands. To mix, knead with fingers to a uniform colour. If mixing is difficult, warm to room temperature. Apply to surface to be repaired (within 12 minutes of mixing) and work the material forcefully into the surface applying pressure until adhesion begins to take effect. Mould to shape if required. If material sticks to fingers, use the plastic wrapper to press the material in place. For a smooth appearance, remove excess and hand rub with water or damp cloth before hardening begins. Trim away any excess before initial hardening. Remove any residues with acetone prior to initial hardening. Hardened excess may be sanded or trimmed away once fully cured. After 20-30 minutes Knead-It Aqua will harden and begin to form a strong bond. Allow for longer cure times at lower temperatures. After 60 minutes Knead-It Aqua may be drilled, sanded, machined, filed, sawed or painted. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use. Handy tips Ensure the putty and hardener are mixed properly. Knead-It will become warm as it is mixed, A good indication its mixed properly is when you have a uniform colour and feel a mild heat radiating from the knead-it. To help determine when your knead it has set, keep a small piece off to check- when it is hard, it indicates your job is done. For best results, use Knead-It Multi-Purpose for applications in contact with drinking water. Contact with skin may result in irritation. Epoxy resin is a known skin sensitiser. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to allergic contact dermatitis. Cured material can only be removed by cutting and abrasion. If cured on skin, it will peel off in a few days without assistance. Soaking in warm water will assist removal. Supa Glue’s bond strength is excellent where surfaces to be bonded are a good close fit. Where gap filling is required use SELLEYS URETHANE BOND or ARALDITE or for very minor gap filling you can use SELLEYS Quick Fix Gel. Supa Glue is not recommended for use on paper. Not suitable for bonding plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon?. Supa Glue will not permanently bond glass or materials containing alkaline elements. Rubber Some plastics Wood Metals How to use this product The seal at the end of the metal tube should be pierced carefully with the reverse end of the cap. Ensure that the tube is not squeezed while the seal is being pierced. Replace plastic nozzle. Surfaces to be bonded should fit exactly and should be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt and grease. Apply a drop of Supa Glue to only one of the surfaces to be joined. Use sparingly. Do NOT spread. (Note: One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm)KEEP FINGERS AWAY FROM EXCESS ADHESIVE SO THEY WILL NOT STICK TOGETHER. Quickly align both surfaces and apply slight pressure to ensure effective spreading and bond. Should you fail to align the surfaces correctly, do not attempt to re-align them and bond together again. Keep apart and completely clean the surfaces (with acetone or nail polish remover). When dry, re-apply adhesive, re-align and bond again. (Please Note: NOT ALL Nail Polish Removers are ACETONE.) Although the adhesive will grab after several minutes to provide sufficient bond strength for practical use, maximum bond strength is achieved after 12 hours. Wipe tip of tube and replace cap. Handy tips Once open, Supa Glue has a limited shelf life (i.e. up to 1 year provided the tip is wiped clean and the cap replaced securely after each use). Supa Glue vapour can produce a whitening effect in enclosed spaces. To avoid this use in well ventilated areas. The whitening effect can be removed by wiping with acetone (first check that the acetone will not damage the surface). To remove from materials, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Note: This method should only be used for substrates NOT adversely affected by exposure to solvents. Check a small area before use. Storing in a refrigerator can reduce the risk of hardening in the tube. Also leaving a pin stuck in the (cleaned) nozzle during storage can reduce the risk of the nozzle becoming clogged with cured adhesive which is difficult to clear. One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm Supa glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. Since Supa Glue cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. Storage and re-use Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. Do not squeeze tube before removing cap. Handle tube by plastic nozzle neck when opening and closing cap. Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Surfaces should not be visibly wet or constantly damp. Oily timber types may need to be wiped with solvent prior to application to remove surface oils. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, as the construction adhesive will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Ezi Press remove cap Remove tab lock and nozzle cap. Twist collar clockwise towards MAX and adjust between MIN and MAX to control flow. Ezi Press application Simply press lever gently to dispense filler to surface. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm, on smaller surfaces apply dots. Bring surfaces together as soon as possible (within first 5 mins). Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load. Ezi Press min max Clean up with a damp cloth, twist collar back to MIN and replace nozzle cap. Allow the adhesive to set (at least 24 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. For higher initial grab, apply to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow to dry for up to 5 min (no longer) before firmly joining. Shake bottle well before use. Unscrew cap to expose nozzle. Apply a thin coat of Selleys Craft Glue to one surface and press together. Hold in position with light pressure for a few seconds, or longer for very absorbent surfaces. Clean up excess glue quickly with a damp cloth. Wipe nozzle clean and replace cap after use. Handy tips On very porous surfaces applying a thin layer to each side and allowing it to soak in before applying a second layer to one side only may result in a stronger bond. Glue can be resoftened by soaking the item in warm water or by application of acetone. Keep a box of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes around for quick & effective clean up. Safety tips Avoid eye contact, if contact occurs flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Storage and re-use Clean up excess glue quickly with a damp cloth. Interior wood Carboard Paper Fabric Felt Leather How to Use Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, dry and clean. Shake bottle and apply thinly to one surface. Press surfaces together firmly for 1-2 minutes. Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp cloth whilst still wet If joint is under stress or timber is bowed or warped, clamp until adhesive sets. Adhesive strength will be sufficient for object to be handled after 5-10 minutes for softwoods and 15-20 minutes for hardwoods. Allow 30-60 minutes before working with object. Maximum strength is attained in 4-8 hours. Allow longer setting/bonding time in cold or humid conditions. Limitations: Not for exterior use. Unsuitable for use on coated wallpaper overlaps eg vinyl Although Aquadhere Quick Set is reasonably water resistant, it is not recommended for use in water or weather exposed situations or for any job where maximum water resistance is required (for weather exposed and/or wet areas we recommend Selleys Aquadhere exterior or Selleys Aquadhere Durabond). Will not take timber stains. Aquadhere Quick Set is not recommended for joints that are subjected to constant high stress. Do not use on projects that you need to be able to sand, as Aquadhere Interior is not sandable. Will not bond MDF, we recommend using Selleys Aquadhere Exterior.
